El Final Feliz

Wilson shares his experiences in Haiti and his sadness over the season ending.

Wow this episode was so fabulous and meant so much to us that I just won't get tired of watching it over and over. How Amazing was Kelly Killoren Bensimon's apartment! I would die for her closet space. I didn't get a chance to meet her but Ambria and Karina said she was such a doll and I think we can all see that in the camera.

I did get to hang in Alexa Ray Joel's apt with Tara! Alexa was so welcoming and attentive to us at her home. She has the most eclectic and cozy apartment ever. I need to visit her soon for some tea, haha. I knew Alexa's pieces would sell really fast in the auction since she is such an icon. I mean the daughter of Billy Joel? One would be silly to not own a piece or two of her closet! Plus, she does have a good taste.

This auction meant so much to me in particular, since the money that we raised would go to the charity Generosity Water to help build a well for thousands of people in Haiti, which is my neighbor country. I remember being 10 years old and going on a school trip to visit the boarder of Dominican Republic and Haiti. I was completely heartbroken to see so many kids my age drinking water from a river that was so dirty, with their mothers washing clothes right next to them. I was baffled by those children's poverty and the living situation. Therefore raising that money for the charity was very important to me, and the girls as well. And we did!! We just received the pictures about a week ago of the well and the people making lines to drink and use the clean water. It was such a great feeling for all of us, and I am certain we would do it all over again!

El Final Feliz (the happy ending)! No! we want more Fashion Hunters! Haha! As we all know everything has to come to and end and our Season 1 finale couldn't have a better ending! Great consigners, Karina's pricing perfection, Ambria opening to find love, and finally the mysterious cuff that "belonged" to my mother Chanel! And it's story revealed in the one and only Elle magazine accessory closet! Ugh I would have died in there!

Although there was so much other unseen footage that we would have loved that had made it to the show such as a fashion show, my own photoshoot, along with a GQ photoshoot! (Editor's Note: see the fashion show below.)

I will say that I am pleased with how everything came along and feel very grateful for being part of such amazing show. I also want to thank the girls for teaching the business and being so patient with my over-the-top comments at times. Our journey will go on as we continue to hunt fabulous people's closets. And who knows maybe you ll see us back sooner than you expect!

Hasta la vista baby! (In Arnold's accent.)

We Are Family

Karina explains her escape from the store and how the STA staff has bonded.

The final episodes are upon us. . .and I had so much fun this entire season. There are several things I wanted to mention so I'll just start from the top. . .

The accordion purse -- when that came in the door I got extremely excited, having studied art history and the artist Eric De Kolb. Funny that Tara's voice was in my head when I was pricing the item. Haha! It's really a unique item and was so great that we found a happy buyer, who will be the talk of her next dinner party or event.

Going to Kelly's home was a real treat. She has a really good way about her, very warm and welcoming. Her taste is great, especially the Hermes pillows she had made. And I thought Ambria was going to pass out in the closet. Thankfully she donated some items for the auction, which was all for a great cause Generosity Water. . .And thanks to Peter Som and Alexa Ray Joel for their items. It was really very nice of everyone participate.

I have to note that Colin, with the Coco Chanel cuff, walks around NYC barefoot. He told me the Hopi Indians used to walk barefoot so they felt closer to earth and nature. Not sure how concrete and asphalt are the same as dirt and grass, but hey, to each his own. . .

Lastly, I just wanted to touch on Ambria and I's little escape from the store. When you work together for awhile, you sometimes do act like schoolkids and that was pretty much what happened when we "snuck" out of the store. But Tara is great, and I'm glad she was so forgiving. . .and also that she feels comfortable enough with me to discuss any personal issues. We have bcome somewhat of a family and Tara , Wilson, Ambria, and myself. We all look out for one another at this point. . .

My PS: That Elle magazine accessories vault was amazing.
