Good Cop, Bad Cop
Tara wasn't in the mood to play police with Karen or with the Miyake dress, but it all worked out in the end.
This weeks episode was chock full of entertainment: a stolen Issey Miyake, kooky Karen, heartbreak, and retail therapy.
Valerie and Jean seemed to step right out of a comic book. Thank goodness for our friend Simon, who was able to come in and set things straight. As I shared, there isn't a lot of information on Issey Miyake, but I knew the outfit was special, even museum-worthy. Who knew it would be a missing piece? Jeez Louise! And although it puts no money in Valerie's purse, I think Simon's suggestion to donate it was the right thing to do. But before that, he can borrow it for Halloween and go as a female Tron!
Oh Karen, Karen, Karen. . .luckily I was working with another client so I could remain occupied until she called me over. When it comes to clients like Karen, Ambria and I sometimes assume "good cop, bad cop" roles. In this case, I wasn't in the mood to play Monty Hall, so it was all Ambria who made the deal.
Thank goodness for retail therapy! At first, Ambria was reluctant to visit Heide's closet with me after learning she was a relationship expert. That was the last thing she wanted to do after getting into it with her ex, and breaking down at work.
I thought it could be fun. Looking back, it was an opportunity to share a bit about us and score on a few special numbers, especially the Dior cuff. Moral of the story, let go, move on.
