I'm new to this whole blogging thing so bare with me. My name is Trace Lehnhoff and I have been working for Jeff since January of 2009. I'm currently enrolled in college studying interior design in Los Angeles. Nearing the end of the design program, students start contacting design firms and offices in search of an internship. Thinking of offices I admired in the LA area, I immediately thought of Jeff Lewis. I contacted him via email and after I sent in a requested resume and photo, we set up an interview and he hired me on the spot as his design intern. Working for Jeff has been quite an experience and it's been invaluable to me. The way you see him on the show is exactly how he behaves in real life: obsessive compulsive, hysterical and downright crazy at times. I think I fit in at the office because of the similarities I have with Jeff. He's even said that in order to have job security with him, we as employees need to provide some sort of entertainment or possess a trait that he can make fun of, day in and day out.
Being a fan of past seasons, I was a little apprehensive working for Lewis. I knew I needed to have tough skin or else I would end up on Lexapro and in therapy indefinitely.
Congratulations Trace! It's great to see a boy from back home on national TV! I look forward to watching more Flipping Out with you on the screen! I bet your mom is so proud too!
I love you Trace!! You add a new dynamic to the show and I just lost it when you told Jeff the real reason you were late for work.... you're a whole new dimension to the show and I think you may be the only one who can can get over on Jeff! I love the show and I totally love you! God, I hope you don't quit -- after only one episode, it won't be the same without you! Oh, and PS, you're such a doll! I love your hair messy--keep it like that! Mwah!
Trace your great ,the chest playing befote you get out of bed very interesting.I work in a Funeral home kinda the same drama.Wish you the best. Trent-
You are the one!!! Loved that you can't get out of bed till you win at checkers. Jeff looked at you as if you were his child. Loved it!
You're new to blogging so bare with you? Does that mean we take off our clothes while we read this? Good luck on the show, Trace. You seem a good fit.
Trace, I love your role in the show. After seeing last nights episode, I get the impression that Jeff might have the "hots" for you. Do you two share any type of attraction to one another?
You're so cute! I'm happy that Jeff added you to his employ. I wish you a lot of success in the design business and in Jeff Lewis' office.
Trace...HOW PERFECT ARE YOU FOR THIS SHOW!! You have a great energy about you. It seems you have a certain calmness in dealing with Jeff, (who I simply love, by the way). I think if you continue to see the humor in these situations, you'll be great! You just can't take yourself too seriously. I wish you the best of luck. HANG IN THERE!!!
CHECKERS?!?!?! Brilliant move, young man and I thank you for it! You're going to do very well at Jeff Lewis Design.
Trace, as soon as I heard your explaination for why you couldn't get out of bed on time for work, I knew you would fit in with Jeff perfectly (Jeff Jr). I'm sure you'll be able to hold your own with Jeff, and he'll like it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE that you admitted your reason for running late in the mornings! Absolutely the best line of the entire show...Seasons 1 & 2 included! Hilarious! And so endearingly genuine!
Like everyone else...I'm really looking forward to the new dimension you add to the Jeff Lewis dynamic! Way too much fun!
My best, Catie
Trace you are absolutely hilarious, and very cute to boot. Jeff lewis most likely does have a crush on you but who wouldn't. I love the show and you are the perfect addition to the show, good luck with the show and your career, i'm certain you'll be amazing.
Bravo Trace! I'm still laughing with you. I love your response to Jeff when he asked you if you had lunch and when you explained to him why you were late for work. You could see the sparkle in Jeff's eyes of approval. I also thought he really wanted to fall on the floor and laugh histerically. Good luck to you.
Congratulations Trace! I have a feeling you're going to fit in well with the Jeff Lewis team and with Jeff himself as long as you're able to keep the same outlook on life/work as you seem to have now.
Trace! I lost it when you said you didn't need lunch because you ate yesterday. Awesome! You're fantastic and a total hottie to boot! Best of luck with and look forward to seeing more of your unique personality this season.
Trace is too funny! To paraphrase Maya Angelou, "If you've got style to make me smile, I'll love you." Thanks Trace for being you--competent yet humble ("How can I improve?"), and for sharing the intelligent banter. You and all the Flipping Out friends make me smile. I loved it when Jeff asked if you picked up lunch and you said, "No, I ate yesterday." And your playful checkers explanation about being late was classic! Please keep the endearing stories coming. As Jeff said, this is what we want from you. I'm rooting for your great success kid!
I love, love, love you on the show, you're really funny. Especially since i see a lot of myself in you. I loved your excuse for being late and the reason why you didnt have lunch, it was classic. I also love how you dont let Jeff get to you, you must have tough skin. Well anyway have fun on the show i enjoy watching. Can't wait to see what happens next.
Hopefully we will see more of Trace on future shows, he definitely male model attractive. His calm demeanor makes him even adorable.
Trace I love your stoick and ironic humor. You have Jeff in the palm of your hand. You have him pegged and know all the buz words that keep him engaged.
YOU ARE BRILLIANT!!!!!
Trace...babie you got it! Love it...your two minute skit made me laugh so much. AND your a cutie. Hope to see more of you on the show...
Trace all that can be said has been said you are a great fit I just downloaded checkers what a great idea best wishes d
I love your look and think you really have a good personality. Keep your tough skin. I'd love to see you write a personal blog.
I really look forward to seeing you on each episode. You have a great dry sense of humor and the episode of you and Sarah picking out tile was my favorite. Best wishes in the future.
I don't get it! if Jeff is such a perfectionist why does he keep Vlad??? he needs to hit the road or go on a Potato Bug hunt...geesh! As for Shara, I really think she fits in, just wish she would stop chewing that gum like a tart...she was a brave soul to wear the white coveralls and did well doing so, as did Jenni. Bet Jeff would never wear them!
So Trace how is 2010 going for you? Are you nearing graduation? You do a great job on the show. Keep up the good work. Ciao
