Jenni tells prospective interns what to expect and JLD and Deb gives her thoughts on Jeanne.

on Jul 12, 20110

Interns, calling all interns!

At Jeff Lewis' office expect the following:

If you ask for coffee, you are doomed.
If you are late, you are doomed.
If your family owns a tequila farm, you may or may not be doomed.
Gage questions Jeff's standards for employment.

It's a beautiful day at Jeff Lewis' office:

Zoila's domestic partnership is feeling the summer heat.
Sarah and Jeff's professional marriage is in rough water.
My advice when requested: maintain the family bond before the language of conflict does serious damage.

Jenni, did Jeff really not know who Tommy Shaw was or who the band Styx is? He is 41, and I am 44, and used to go to Styx concerts when I was a teen, so I can't believe he never heard of them. That is kind of funny. Jeanne seems like a pistol, I bet she is a fun client.

Please come back to the show more, and tell Jeff to get rid of Gage instead of Sarah. :-)

OMG!! Jenni u r so missed, I love Zoila as well at least she fills the void that u have left us. I love the way Zoila keeps Jeff in line u go girl. As for Sarah I feel so bad for her but it was time to go, she needs some more fit for her and this was not that. AS for Gage, its right what everybody is saying he changes the whole dinamic of the show and not in a good way. Its like really!! but why?!?!? what?!, its that kind of reaction he gets out of me I just keep asking myself why, why why is he there. So Jenni u need to come back! I know Jeff is alot to take and of course I could never work for someone as rude and mean, but for the show u need to come back. Its just not as funny anymore.

Hi Jenni, The producers of Flipping Out need to address the reason for your departure as a regular on the show. The viewers deserve to know why you're no longer working for Jeff. I've replayed the last episodes, thinking perhaps I missed the explanation for you not being a part of his staff. Although I continue to watch the show, it's not the same without you. I'm certain you've moved on to bigger projects, it was evident last season what a great actress and singer you are! Not to mention your comedic timing, beauty and dynamite personality. I have no doubt we'll soon be seeing you on the big screen!

Hi Jenny love you on the show. Oh by the way where's Jeffrey's blog?

Jenni, what's up with these "blogs"? They are so short, and this week is just a bullet point list! Jeff's to-do lists are longer! It doesn't seem like your heart is in the show this season. :(

A banker and a lawyer? How about an executive assistant with 16 years of experience in the design industry who worked with someone EXACTLY like Jeff. I did everything from creating punch lists (I know the lingo) to marketing the firm and I would definately be an asset and not a liability.

On another note, the one thing that drives me absolutely crazy is the constant gum chewing from Sara; totally unprofessional. The only thing she should do in that office is answer the phones and take messages (without smacking gum).

Jenni,

You bring the best energy to the show, I wish we could see more of you!

You are a beautiful person, inside and out...Keep up the good work!

Best of Luck!

Jennie,

You are missed!! You gave the correct advice to Jeff. Sarah may be nice but that does not mean she has the skill set to work at a high level for Jeff Lewis.

Miss seeing you. Really hope you are well!!

Well, I have never blogged before but am now submitting my third in a row; one to Zoila, one to Sarah and now one to you. You need to come back and be you. It must be incredibly difficult to be there and have to be quiet while he verbally abuses you and anyone else he chooses, but he NEEDS someone to help him see the light as far as how to be a better person. Gage is not that person. The tone of the show is now different with Gage's arrogance and critical eye toward everyone. Wow. I never knew a new employee with an investigative eye for mistakes in others so that he can either be negative talking to Jeff about the error of their ways or coming in to save the day. Yuk. Don't know if I can watch much more of that. A shame that Gage is not the kind of person to try to bring out the best in Jeff, rather that to get him to see the negatives in everyone else. That would make for a much more interesting show. That was your role and now you are gone....only to make your occassional appearances and grit your teeth, let your eyes glaze over and just take it because that is what you HAVE to do when in Jeff's presence. The bloom is off the rose and it is truly a shame. I know......you are going to say that deep down Jeff is really sweet and kind and a nice person and supports you in every way and and and........ Your face tells the story. Sorry but it does. He has verbally beaten you and others to a pulp and it shows. Those moments of being treated in that way don't disappear. I would love to see ALL of your spunk back, including regaining your courage to tell him when he has crossed the line. By the way, being quiet and bowing down when he is verbally abusing others is condoning it. Please, come back to the show, find your spunk, tell him to chill out loudly and clearly and hope that either Gage turns into a nice person or exits the show. Jeff needs reminding to have compassion. Although in the end, he typically doesn't push his employees off the plank, he might as well have as they won't forget the words expressed as he caught them before they fell.

You are and have always been my favorite! I miss seeing more of you on Flipping Out, but do you have any other projects we can look out for?

Seems such a simple solution to the problem with Sarah - change her job description! Jeff made her a project manager but she wasn't hired for that job, was she? I thought she was hired to be your assistant or an office assistant. She seems far better suited to the position of receptionist or secretary than project manager for construction, a job which typically requires some form of higher educational training or at least years of OTJ in the general contracting industry. Simply put, Jeff is the bad employee here because he has promoted someone into a job that is clearly over her beautiful head. He should hold himself one hundred percent accountable. If Jeff truly cares about Sarah, the right thing to do would be rewrite her job description again.

I am not sure that I admire Gage's underhanded ways of coming into an office and more or less upsetting the apple cart. He has to keep in mind that Sarah is indeed a family member. Rather than telling Jeff to give her the boot, he should be looking at how the office could benefit from her actual skills. The payroll is affected at least in part by his presence on it. Maybe he should be a pm and let Sarah stay in the office generating new business?? Just saying. Gage strikes me as a someone who is looking out only for his own skin. First impression for me is "no likey"

Zoila is precious. I get it that Jeff was mad about the mail, but he should have assessed the facts before dumping on her. Bad, bad management style. I know this: if Zoila were to suddenly come on the market as a live in housekeeper, she'd be employed within seconds. She's a peach! So are you.

Jenny,

You were 100 percent right to give Jeff the advice you did. You know Jeff and he is just going to become more frusterated with Sarah and it will end very ugly. Sarah does not have what it takes to work for Jeff Lewis. Quite frankly not many people do because he is very hard to work for. Sarah is a sweet person but no office could tolerate all the mistakes she makes. Everyone in the office gave him the same advice to get rid of her. Jeff's work and reputation is high end and excellent. You can't let one person bring you all down. I know you meant well and were coming from a good place. I don't see it getting any better unless he just needs a body and trains her in another direction.

Jenni, I can't believe you turned on Sarah like you did. You are not the person I thought you were. I am glad you don't have my back. Take Care.

Jenni, where are you now? Why aren't you in the office any more? I've only seen you on the show a couple of times this season and I miss you. Honestly, I've learned a lot from you about patience and forgiveness ~ I hope Jeff appreciates you. Please come back to the show more often.

Stupid advice to tell Jeff to fire Sarah. Why on earth do you think that would save family relations? Crappy thing to do.

Hi!

I see Jeff doesn't have a blog. I love this show but I am really disgusted with the way he treats his employees. That is not how you build employee morale by yelling, making fun of and constantly stating something is "going in your file"...it's disgusting. You really have alot to put up with!

How can Jeff not recognize Styx!!!?? Jeff...Babe I love you!

Jenny, I couldn't find Jeff's blog on here so I will tell you to tell Jeff. I love the show and I really love Jeff and all of you. Tell Jeff I am old enough to be his mother I am older than Zola. I thought I heard on the Today Show that he had died and I went as far as calling out tv station local to ask them if it was true thank God it was not true. I really think a big part of Jeff and the was he is, is that he needed a mother growing up therefore he wasn't taught how women feel about things and really don't know how to get along and understand them. I am going on 65 and if I understood right Zola is 60. Well, Jeff you will know in about 20 yrs that you won't be able to do whatyou are doing now at your age. You really need to calm down sweetie and take Zola for the lady that she is . She keeps your house clean I could only wish that my house was as clean as yours it used to be. But life has other things in store for you as you get older and you have to slow down . You can't keep on yelling and fussing at her. You wouldn't speak and yell at your mother that way because you would have learn to repect her and how she feels. There is days in my life where i clean up a storm then others my body tells me I can't do it and I know that is what Zola body is telling her so please repect that and her. To me she is your mother figure and you are her son . Just let her go at he pace and take the breaks that she needs and believe dear she needs more than just Sunday's off. Please think about this and be the person I know you can be. Thank you Jenny for giving this not to Jeff and please make sure he read it. I will pray that he will pray on his actions toward her. As far as the others I love them all. But I do agree with you Jenny that Sarah as much as I love her this job isn't for her. He can, hire someone to follow her around to make sure she is listening and doing all that she has to do. Family or not his business has to come first. Sorry to say but Sarah needs to go, but may she could answer the phone and make appointments for him with a book to right in ant talking to the person at the time she may get that right. Kay Simpson

Hey Jenni,

I'm currently a banker with said bank and my buddy is a lawyer with said company. We don't propose to manage your finances or handle your legal affairs (and....when I mention "you" I mean the show), but from what I've seen, Jeff could use a couple of folks that can help him manage his projects. Now keep in mind....we don't have the construction background or the design background, but we do have project management experience and are good TV material. We are extremely professional (so we won't be late and will bring coffee) and we will get the job done. We may not have much experience with building houses or outfitting them, but we are more than capable of getting the job done with pizzazz. Talk to Jeff. The most that we'll get is a chance to talk. We both have an eye for fashion, and do well with understanding the taste of the client. Plus, we are good for TV. You won't be disappointed.
