"My favorite holiday memory is taking my little girl sledding on inner tubes last year. She was so cute all bundled up in her pink snowsuit. She sat in my lap as we rode down the hill and we laughed the entire day."

"Decorating for the holidays has always been my most favorite time of year, from picking out a giant Christmas tree to making crafts and covering every inch of home with holiday cheer. My mom started a festive paper chain (you can see it on the tree in this picture) that we would add to every single year with rings we'd cut from neat wrapping paper we'd saved. This snapshot of my sister and me also brings back the awesome memory of Santa bringing that cardboard store we're tending -- we sold my parents everything in their cupboards that year! "I have so many memories. One of my favorites is when we were small on Christmas Eve, my mother would go to Hickory Farms in the local mall and buy a ton of meats and cheese and crackers. She would make this huge spread and lay it out. We would always watch 'A Christmas Story,' you know where Ralphie gets a Red Rider BB gun and it ricochets and breaks his glasses. Side note: my older brother Joseph actually had this happen and still to this day has a BB lodged in the back of his eye. We were allowed to open one gift on Christmas Eve. It was always a matter of shaking each box, weighing it, even smelling it to try and determine which gift was the best one that could possibly tide us over to the morning and how to avoid the box of socks and underwear or grandma's sweater. Afterwards there would always be a ton of Italian cookies and the grown ups would drink their espresso. I remember all those smells like it was yesterday."

"My favorite holiday memory would have to be the first one Rachel and I shared while we were pregnant. We had just spent days with our families – over 30 people… you’ve never seen so many presents in your life – which was amazing all in itself, but then back home we had some quiet private time, looking at our tree, getting ready to move into our first house – what used to be the two of us, but now it was the three of us – we had an amazing life growing inside of her and it was technically our first holiday together -- the best present in the world."
