Apatow followed his 40 Year Old Virgin success, writing, producing, and directing 2007's Knocked Up. Thus the perfect mix of raunch and rom-com was "born."

Apatow also produced 2008's Superbad, making way for young stars Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Apatow's go-to funnyman, Jason Segal wrote one of last year's best comedies. It was, of course, produced by Judd himself.
