This week we had a specific task:
Help Kelly Gitter to give things away
Help her to see her self-worth
Help her to move from her past into the present so she can enjoy her future
Help her daughters to encourage Kelly without offending her
Our goal was not to:
Discover a family of mega rats roaming in the office (me and the fragile little turtle)
Throw out Kelly's wedding rings
Throw out Kelly's jewelry
Cause Kelly to feel like she is a failure
I'm watching this week's episode, now. I appreciate you, Jenni and Zoila, but I feel horrified at Jeff's methods, how fast he would go through Kelly's things, which are important to her.
I feel sorry for Kelly. She has to want to change her lifestyle, not doing it for her daughters. Jeff seems, to me, to be bullying Kelly. This episode is painful to watch. Jeff seems to feel it's all about his own frustration, his own lack of patience.
If I were Kelly, I would have booted out Jeff and his crew, in the beginning. I would NOT have taken out many of the bookcases downstairs. I am so tired of his painting walls gray on all his projects. I much preferred the wooden grain of the bookshelves, a light colored wood, to the darker color, first blue, now dark gray, of the now painted wood. Jeff just keeps complaining and complaining.
He's awful! I think Jeff has a bad attitude, too, when he appears on Watch What's Happening LIve. I have to say he's one of my least favorite characters on Bravo TV. If it weren't for you and Zoila, Jenni, I wouldn't watch this show. It's exhausting to the viewer, too, to watch Jeff pushing his design aesthetic on others. I don't care for his style, his manners or his so-called "therapy."
I am really sad for this woman (Kelly) it must be so hard for her but I would have thrown everything out.
I love this show! My daughter and I watch it every week! You guys are great! Zoila, you are entertaining but take it as a compliment! You are entertaining because you have such a wonderful personality. Jeff is hard on both you and Jenni, but it is so obvious how much he cares about both of you. He is just that sensitive turtle!

I love Jeff & Jennie together!! Their dynamic is perfection. Jeff's work is absolutely amazing and meticulous.
I love love love this show! Jeff and Jenni are amazing, and they do a great job helping people. This show is reality tv at it's finest! Bravo Bravo!!
You make a GREAT pair and SO fun to watch! Thank you for all my smiles and laughter - it's such a refreshing pleasure!
Ok, I heard Jeff say to me too, "you are in a funk and need to move past some of this" so Jeff, I am cleaning my spare room that is packed full from my children moving out. They have moved on with their lives and I need a new space for my husband and I to enjoy. I think I thought it might be when they got married or had children or....but like Jeff said, "time to move on and define your own space"
I didn't think I would love this show...thinking that it was to replace Flipping Out. I was so wrong on both counts. I think might be the best show ever on Bravo.
Please concerned Viewer !! Did you not read what Jenni wrote? She ran into Kelly and she was so grateful and she hired someone to help her finish cleaning her room and now they are happily ever after. If you don't like Jeff , don't watch him!!!!!!
Good job guys!! Sometimes people need to be forced out of their own way. As for the viewer who is concerned. Perhaps being concerned about the rodent droppings is a tad more appropriate. Just my opinion though...
I have a tiny beat up little house and a dysfunctional blended family, I would love to have Jeff, Jennie and Zoila come visit!
I love the new show and 5 day makeover concept. Do you think that Jeff will post paint color sources or a few of the sources for each design? As a viewer, I love to find out the paint colors to try to incorporate them into my own house!
Love the show!
I get inspired to do little things around my house to clear the clutter and update the decor. I don't have the money for a full makeover of any one of the rooms but after watching you guys plow through people's piles of clutter and what the room looks like when you are done it helps me get motivated to do something in my space. I LOVE Jeff and all his quirks and tough love remarks to his clients. Those people need someone like him to clean up the messes in their lives. Jeff probably accomplishes in 5 days what they would pay a therapist to do in 5 years! Jenni you are the gentle buffer between him and the clients and you make a great team. I loved Flipping Out but this is way more fun to watch.
I'm concerned about Concerned Viewer's concern about Jeff. As you can see at the end of the episode, Kelly is very grateful for what Jeff did for her. He made her see what a serious hoarding problem she had and she seems to have really benefitted from his "tough love." She really had some issues and Jeff did her a big favor. Please get over it. I am a huge Jeff, Jenni and Zoila fan.
Hey Jennie
I want to have a job like yours. I have experience as Executive Assistant - how did you get your job? Its what I want to do - not so much to be on TV - need a fun job - just relocated to California - Any ideas?
I thought that this was a great show. I liked seeing that someone who appeared to be together was not. I especially liked the results in the office. Kelly needed Jeff.
This show seemed so fake. Is this woman living off a huge inheritance or a former ex paying big money alimony? Life Coach is one of those vague sort of occupations where you assist people managing their lives and just how does someone as flaky as this chick do that. And, who needs "clients" to sleepover in their home? All verrry odd indeed.
I love this show!!!!!!! It would be nice if you could add to the slid show of before and after pics the colors used on the walls :)
JENNIE , YOU DO A GREAT JOB WITH ALL THE CUSTOMER'S !! I KNOW ALOT OF PEOPLE WHO DO NOT GET HIS EXTREMLY DRY HUMOR!! IT IS VERY DRY, BUT SOME GET IT & SOME DO NOT ! I GIVE YOU ** A TON OF CREDIT ** FOR STAYING AS LONG YOU HAVE, IT LOOK'S QUITE STRESSFUL TO ME.
ONE QUESTION; THAT IS YOU IN THE COMMERCIAL FOR DEODERANT ?? I HAVE MONEY ON IT THAT IT IS YOU ? AM I RIGHT??

Loved this weeks' show. I think this format works so much better when you are working on homes of people others can identify with. Everyone has pain in their past, we all just cope with it differently. My least favorite show was the first one. Thank goodness it has gotten better-- I think this week was the best show, so far.
Yes, I was concerned about the rodent droppings. By the way, nothing was said about Jeff's finding the source of the rodent infestation. The rats will simply come back, if something isn't done to eliminate them at their source.
And yes, I did write my post before the show was over, and before I read Jenni's "happily ever after comment." Apparently, Kelly was grateful for the "tough love." I'm really glad she got someone besides Jeff to help her with her bedroom, and that her daughters promised they'd be there for her, when she broke down, crying. She obviously did have a lot to release.
I continue to have a problem with Jeff's painting so many surfaces gray. And those extra bookshelves could have housed a lot of Kelly's pieces that she obviously wanted to keep. I feel Kelly was very brave to allow someone who was a relative stranger to her to come into her home, to go through her personal belongings, and yes, to trash a lot of them. Jeff was being so judgmental, from my perspective. But yes, the droppings were bad, and rats certainly could pose a health problem. If nothing specific was done to trap them, they'll be back, destroying her new room. I hope Kelly hired an exterminator, too, after Jeff left.
But you're right, if Jeff bothers me, I can change the channel. His personality seems really challenging to deal with. Jenni, you must be a saint.
I never look shows up on the internet, read their blogs and post stuff but I absolutely dig this show completely. It's simply wonderful. And it necessarily has a daring and bit uncontrolled aspect to it (at least for me) that is wonderfully balanced by positive intentions and results. All contributors (whether cast or construction crew) are to be applauded and thanked... as well as the brave people who open their personal lives up for our viewing. Anyone hating on this show is a humorless, boring schoolmarm and they know it. Keep watching and maybe you'll get it... Jennie, I love you, gurl. xoxo
@concerned viewer: She needed a big push. Jeff is not a trained therapist and he told her she needed one (and she does!)
I think that he was tough on her because he was helping her the only way he knew how. He did feel bad that she cried and he told the viewers that and more importantly he told *her* that.
Kelly thanked him and planned to keep going with the changes. He felt as if he had done his best within his limitations.
I agree.
P.S. Zoila rocks!
This show just keeps getting better. Now that I get it, I am enjoying the transformations. Great combo of humor, therapy, and fab decorating. You, Jeff and Zola are a real "trio treat".
Love you guys! I felt so bad for Kelly. She really seemed to be suffering. I thought it was great insight on your part to say the Jeff was just on the opposite end of the same spectrum as Kelly. His OCD and her Hoarding. How fun for you! You do a great job and make me laugh. You are so patient! I love how you stick up for the under-dog.
Dear Jeff & Jenni: I'm writing concerning the episode about the VERY rich people ( i.e. The man who can't throw anything out ) You and Jenni were talking about the very soft bed pillows in the guest bedroom of their house. I've been looking for a very soft bunch of pillows. Do you know what they are made of, who makes them, and how I can go about getting some ? I love your show, and I love Bravo as well. Thank you for help.
hi jenny... who makes that black dress you wore this episode... it had a zipper the length of the dress and a pocket on each side below the waist and a little scallop on the bottom by the zipper... it looked great on you and i would love to know where to get it!.. thank you, donna
I loved *Flipping Out* and haven't yet made the transition to this show, but the boards have made me decide to give it a chance! Jenni: I have a bet with my hubby. We were on a flight from LA to Chicago, Virgin Airlines, late on 4/14. Were you also a passenger on the flight? We didn't see Jeff or Zoila, so.... If it was you, I win a week off from all household chores, and dinner out every weekend for a month. Please settle the bet.
Jenni: I love your fashion esthetic. The glitter top with the cashmere v-neck sweater over, the black painting smock with floral sleeves, and where did you get that dress with the full front zipper and billowy hem line?
Just watched an episode on Bravo of Jeff and I will not watch again. When the guy was spray painting the fireplace he was more concerned about the look of the fireplace then he was of the painter. He actually sounded like he thought he was someone slave driver. Hell get you butt down there and paint it yourself.
Last night, saw another episode of Interior Therapy. Love that Jeff calls Jenni his sister. There's such chemistry between them. To the poster who questioned how Jenni can work with Jeff....it's because she understands him no matter HOW frustrated he gets. He's openly admitted to having OCD and I too have it. As for Terri and Don Gold, I felt the same as Terri did about moving into Don's house after marrying him. When my spouse and I bought his paren'ts house from her before she died, nothing of mine was in any room of the house. HIS ornaments were displayed....no room for mine. He has mild OCD and so everything has to be just so and his job-related perfectionism has long ago spilled over into our personal home space. If I so much as move something, just when I think he won't remember, he does. I felt for Terri. Jeff/Jenni did some great renovating and Jenni seemed to intuitvely KNOW EXACTLY HOW Terri felt. At that moment, I wanted them in my home. They'd know exactly how I feel. Great show BRAVO!

I absolutely LOVE Jennie and Jeff! Great show bravo! More of Jeff and Jennie, more, more, more!
