This week Jeff and I walked into the Golden's style wars.
Don's years in the house before Terri still dominated and loomed way too large.
Terri's big personality brought a lot of gold to the mix.
She still felt unwelcome, a married woman in a bachelor pad.
They claim to love music, however they have no harmony.
Jeff wanted to find the "we" by creating a clean slate.
Three rooms in five days begins a change Terri has been waiting five years for.
Sixteen years of "his house" it's time to get a "rethink."
Furniture shopping with a couple is a major style war.
Jeff copes with emotional eating.
I cope by sporting my Hello Kitty onesie and my pink and black tool belt.
Who knew Jeff going through my suitcase and touching my bras would serve as a stress reliever?
We eat Indian food, but it does not help Don surrender to Jeff the design guru.
Jenni you are a lady with a lot of patience. Your a great rapper also. You and Jeff are yin and yang. I absolutely loved the kaki skirt you were wearing and if you could let me know where you got it that would be cool. You have an excellent eye for detail and you are so smart
This show was fun. Jeff ,as usual, was point on, in that Don was the problem. No chango and drive wife nutso. Better to throw everything out and start over again as a couple. Now can you and Jeff come by my house and repeat those words to a significant other living with me?
Jenni: I loved the dark stained parquet floors in the living room! But, I wanted to know about your tote bag from the scene when you walk into the home - also noticed it on the bed in the room you slept in.
Hi Jenni! I love you and Jeff together, as always- I laughed out loud multiple times throughout the episode at your antics together :)! You guys are comedic Gold!
The transformations were clean and well-done, but I do wish that some of the natural wood tones in the living area were preserved to contrast with all the black and white! I think if the natural wood beams, along with the lighter wood floor tones were preserved- and large rustic wood framed mirrors were brought in (instead of the West Elm-ish looking black framed mirrors), the living room would have seemed a lot warmer. Also I loved the original stained glass mirror detail. The bedroom was beautiful and warm- although I wish a taller or grander headboard was used! The office was perfection.
Thank you for such a great episode!
Love the show Jenni. It took me a few weeks to understand you and Jeff really help people by changing their surroundings. Your interaction with Jeff is very funny. Every show has something special.
First of all, I love your show, You and Jeff's humor and most especially your design esthetic. My question for you, when you are replacing entire wood floors, which brand do you use. It is engineered wood? It seems pre-stained and easer to install. What are the pros and cons of using wood floors which you then stain, vs. pre-stained, sometimes it looks like the hand-scraped wood floors.
Thans in advance for your help! Best, Debbie, your biggest fan in Seattle
Wow! Jenni, I love this show sooo much better than the previous Jeff Lewis show!
You guys are amazing and really make a difference with your remodeling/design.
Thanks for great TV and showing the 'best side of Jeff'!
You are awesome...rap on. D.
I loved the ceiling fan in the master bedroom -- what brand? Help, I'm desperate for a decent looking ceiling fan!
Jenni, How do you pull off that work in heels? You are amazing! I was sick when Jeff put the dirty underwear on your head. I hope he pays you very well!!!
Oh do I love me some Jeff & Jenni. My husband and I lol throughout every episode. We love every design you do.. I always say "man, I wish they could come to my house" ya'll would be mortified. Seriously. I need some Interior Therapy bad. I kept telling my husband on this episode that Don needed to MAN UP and give his wife the respect of sharing his life and space.......... I kept yelling for him to shut up and let Jeff do his thing. He obviously had never seen the work you and Jenni have done in the past. I am a long time fan of Flipping Out so of course I wasn"t going to miss any episode of ITJL.....I DVR it if I have to miss. Huge Fan, huge fan! Jeff is so gorgeous....like I totally have a hetero crush on him.
OMG...how do you stand Jeff's antics? He is SUCH a pain! But then he goes and buys Terri the piano that she has always wanted. I really don't know what to make of him. Is he just a cuddle bunny in a wolf suit? Love you Jenni. You're kool.
Jenni, love you on the show you all are wonderful.. The underwear situation, wow you owe him one. Then I do have to give my opinion on one thing. You are such a cutie, however those tight pants you wore cracked my ass up. Was that the reason for wearing them? I am not saying any other time you look bad. Just those pants .. I did laugh and laugh ... lve u
Love the show and love the dynamic between you and Jeff. You are both talented and seem like a fun pair to be around. I love how Jeff tells people exactly how he feels, and he seems to be a great reader of people! Who knew? I also love how decisive Jeff is, its all black and white for him that makes it alot easier, and he also can admit when he is wrong (I think that is from the old show...)
One thing that Jeff must improve is his treatment of you! Its fun when you two are horsing around and all, but I hate the dirty tricks he plays on you: the dirty underwear on the head, throwing your suitcase down the hill; I hate that you have to go along with it because he is the boss and it forces you to accept the crappy treatment that no woman deserves from a man, no less her boss.
Crappy treatment of you makes me not want to watch both of you and diminishes the nice things going on in the show.
