The trip to Florence, Alabama came at just the right time. Meeting Billy Reid and getting to spend time with him in his design studio and his home was fantastic. He is an incredibly talented designer, and I am very grateful to have been included in that weekend. I loved Alabama and the people there. Everyone was so nice and excited that we were there. I struggled with whether or not I should bring Lindsay with me, and I am really glad I did now. It was important for us to get to spend some time getting to know each other. I only knew her from the hotel she used to work at, and I wanted to begin to establish the boss/employee relationship, but I also wanted to show her that her job would involve other things than getting me coffee and finding me office spaces. I figured the sooner I started exposing her to my world the more she would understand it, me, and my needs. We traveled really well together and she was a joy to be around. She is so game, sociable, and easy to be around, which was a relief to me. We had a lot of fun in Alabama, and I am so happy we got to spend that time together.
Hey Brad, I love your show - DVR it every week so I don't miss it. Never in my life have I ever cared about "fashion" but these days here lately it's like the light bulb has been switched on and I'm trying to learn all that I can. One reason I like your show is because you explain how the industry works. AND, I love the tips you give. Wish I knew that you were going to be in Alabama, since that is where I live. Florence is a real different town - as much as the state is. I can sure use all the fashion tips I can get so I'll be watching! Congrat on your new show!
HAHAHAHAH BRAD....Feel a bit like "EVE" in "All about Eve" ????? "EVE, EVE, EVE...hahahaha....I only hope that you get a heapin' helpin' of the same treatment you played on "Margo".....GO TEAM ZOE!!!!!
Thanks for showing Alabama in a positive light........ Had friends at one of the Parties you attended.... they thought you were aweseome@
I think you're adorable and obviously quite talented seeing as your career is enviable. However, it was a little disarming to hear you speaking to Lindsay about not eating at fashion events. I wonder, is that something you learned at Vogue or with Zoe? Perhaps those little insider "tips" should be kept off camera. Not only did it seem a tad impolite, but that kind of thing can influence some of your viewers to stop eating. But, more than that, that kind of outward attitude can reflect badly toward you and the career you've worked so hard for.
After all, we never hear Rachel saying a word about food, do we? One more thing, didn't you proclaim not to have stolen Demi Moore?
Confused,
Fashion ambassador from Texas
You don't have to be a good driver to be a fabulous assistant! So there! I'm on Team Lindsay! If I looked like she does in a bikini, I would be voguing too.
Instead of having to hear how bad Lindseys driving was for 10minutes....why didn't you just drive? Glad there was no crying this episode. You look so cute without those big glasses.
Hey Brad, Happy to see you making a go of it on your own. I have made an observation about you and that is you sound just like Rachel in the way you speak. Your expressions and even the tone of your voice sounds like her. All you have to do is start saying "babe" more and you will sound exactly alike. My question is did she rub off on you or did you rub off on her? I think it would be great if you totes redefine yourself speech and all. You are a unique person and you deserve to be recognized for your unique talents and abilities. Have your own unique Brad speak.
Hi Brad: Love your show and hope you don't start calling everyone Babe and say this "purse, this jacket, this whatever is everything" like Rachel does. Everything would be so much more important if say, your child was in remission, your spouse survived a crash, etc. Saying "everything' about a handbag or some other piece of clothing is so shallow...and annoying. Good luck to you and Gary.
Brad believes himself to have the talent of Rachel Zoe - how crazy is this guy - how he ever got a show is not yet known - he is so boring and that voice and tone of his is like caulk on a old musty blackboard. This show is weak and needs to die a dirty death.
R Zoe is likely glad to be rid of this viper boy - and he is too old to be dressing and acting like he does. Grow up. We already have a Pee Wee Herman - and do not need another one.
I already find Lindsay ditzy and unprofessional. I assume you want to be viewed as a professional and I don't think she is going to help you in that regard. Time will tell. Anyway, love you and Gary and the show.
Brad, I just love you and your show. I find you so refreshing and funny.....you just crack me up. Especially when you and Lindsey were in the General Store in Alabama. I hated it when you were not on Rachel Zoe Project anymore because it was YOU who made the show fun and interesting.. Something better came of it because you now have your own show...one hour of YOU and fashion. Yeah. Love you Brad....keep up the good work.
You would be a better boss if you were clear about your expectations. Lindsay is a great assistant, but would be even better if you would clearly define your expectations and stop making her guess. The fashion world is new to her, but you gave her no guidance on the impromptu camera shoot. That wasn't fair to her. It's not her job to read your mind......be fair about it.
I have to say I was a little confused when comercials ran for your show. Bravo already has Rachel's show, so I wanted to see how would your show differ. Turns out, it doesn't. It's just a little less fashionable and A-list... Also, when you admitted working with Demi Moore, I was so disgusted. You worked for Rachel, learned everything from her, then turned around and stole all her contacts and some clients. Really classy... I have now officially stopped watching your show, but I wish you all the best.
Brad... love the show! I just want to tell you that watching you has been a blast! You are imaginative... sensitive... creative... and very talented. Don't listen to the haters or the envious... you have what it takes to make it in this industry. All that said, your most endearing quality on the show is you creative sense of fun and your bravery in sharing your emotions... the mark of a real artist!
You are a great role model for young gay creatives, who are trying to find their way in a world that tells them that they are wrong for feeling and being different.
Some will try to belittle and minimize what you have chosen to share... don't let them... keep being you!
Shine on Brad...
I love the fact that your such a strong person. Your style is unique and keep up the good word. Im watching your show right now at 5 am, I never miss it:)
Love, love, love you Brad! Keep up the good work and don't let the "big guns" get the best of you! Stay strong and you will succeed! I hope your older doggie is doing ok?! He looks like he's a little sick ... so hard to watch our pets get old. You are the best! Good luck to you!
