Thanks so much for watching! And thanks so much for your comments regarding the show, I was really touched by so many of them. To be honest I never think of myself as being in a gay relationship, to me it's just being in a relationship. But I'm really happy if just by watching us share our lives you get a sense that, gay or straight, we all kind of go through the same stuff.
This continues to be a strange experience for me, as I think it is for anyone who suddenly sees their personal life on TV. But everything you see is what was going on in our lives at that time, and sometimes I'm sure I'll act in ways that I'm not too crazy about seeing on TV, but I guess I'll just deal with it.
I spend a lot of this episode in London (a city that I love so much, like obsessed) so it was really interesting for me to see what was going on with Brad as he started his business. It's really great to have the opportunity to actually get to see so much of what he was going through, and I, like you guys, now have an even greater understanding of what he does after watching. Most of us don't have cameras follow us when we go to work, so when we come home it's kind of like a "how was your day?" "fine, yours?" situation. But I get to watch Brad's day on TV, and I'm so impressed with how he handles himself and how hard he works and just his whole thing. My sense of humor is kind of dry and sarcastic and we never take ourselves too seriously, but I don't want that to be is construed as not caring or being somehow above what Brad is doing. Nothing could be further from the truth. I am Brad's biggest champion and I think in any good relationship you should want to push your partner to reach all of their potential in whatever it is they want to do. Believe me, if Brad did not pursue his goals our relationship would not be as strong as it is.
You two are so great together. Better than any straight couples I know with all their pathologies like Kim the gold digger, Phaedra dragging poor Apollo into the funeral business, poor lout. You two are the best. Refreshing. Better than Zoe dragging her husband through hell with all the underlying hostility even over who holds the baby. You could teach straight couples alot. Or maybe straight couples are a bad idea. I worry though that the fashion business for anyone is too much of a hard grind.
I know you hear this over and over again, but Will and Grace was such a wonderfully well written show. During the holidays, I watched a few episodes and found myself laughing out loud all over again. I miss it! You are very talented and thanks for opening your private life with Brad to all of us! Of course, I would be interested in seeing how writers work! (not like 30 Rock!)
I look forward to next weeks episode. Boy you are putting it all on the line and with family support. I agree, America will miss the soap opera. I was an AMC fan and I so miss it. Real acting talent is being taken over by comic 3D animation.
Thank you for sharing your world with us! Love you, love Brad and wish you both much success and happiness!!
I agree with the other pots, you and Brad are adorable together! I am also a huge OLTL fan, and have been watching since I was a child - broken hearted!
I have to agree with you. I remember being in high school and watching Judith Light's scene on the witness stand when she confesses to being a prostitute. (For that scumbag pimp Marco). It gave me chills.
So long to One Life
I went to IMDB to see which episodes of "Will & Grace" you had written and they were some of my favorites. How talented you are! I must admit, my entire family has the propensity to quote our favorite movie and television lines and any given time. Our definition of an appropriate time would be "any time that it's funny". I have to say it's wonderful to put a face to the writer of some of our favorites. I sincerely pray, however, it was not your idea for the "Mom..Mommy...Mom...Mommy...Mommeeee....", that my teenagers have been torturing me with for, what, 10 years now? I am looking forward to seeing your family. Good luck with the show and a sincere thank you for all of the entertainment you have provided us over the years. Job well done.
I absolutely love you and Brad! I have really enjoyed the season so far. I too have been mourning OLTL! I still have the last weeks episodes on my dvr! If you haven't you should really look into all the groups on Facebook as well as Silas Kain at delibernation trying to help save the genre as well as get OLTL back on the air.
