It seems there’s some kind of arbitrarily designated national holiday for celebrating everything from puppies to margaritas — and when a silly national holiday makes our lives easier and more fun, we’re absolutely listening.
Next Friday, December 15, is National Ugly Sweater Day, and while it feels like some of us are actually celebrating that holiday all month long, you'll be especially happy if your participation falls on that one special day.
That's because, for one day only, all Alaska Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and Horizon Air passengers wearing ugly holiday sweaters at the boarding gate will score priority boarding.
“Travel during the holidays can be stressful for guests — especially those who do not travel often. This fun promotion not only allows guests to board early on that day, but gives people another opportunity to dust off that ugly holiday sweater hanging in the back of their closet,” a representative for Alaska Airlines said in a statement.
Fair enough. During the holiday season — with all of its potential stresses — we’ll take shorter lines and easier travel any way we can get it.
