Imagine being a guy who's flown in so many upper-class cabins in his life that the experience barely moves him anymore. Now imagine being that guy, and experiencing a new first-class suite so over-the-top luxurious that it gives even you pause. That just happened to The Points Guy editor Zach Honig, when he recently experienced (and reviewed) Emirates' 777-300ER plane.
In his review, Honig touched on all aspects of the Dubai-based airline's brand new aircraft, but the Internet understandably clung onto the insanely high-end suites fliers can experience IRL.
There are only six suites on each 777-300ER. Honig traveled on one of the plane's inaugural trips, and his detailed review outlines everything one can expect from a ride in Emirates' revamped suite experience. He also tweeted a mini tour of his suite back in November, showing his followers everything in real time.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Virtual windows
- A camera to communicate with flight attendants
- A 32-inch TV
- Multiple mini bars and snack baskets
- A vanity
- A control panel for temperature and lighting customization
People are claiming they'll no longer fly any other way.
Is this real life?
Heaven, is that you?
According to Honig, there are a couple bummers associated with this luxe new option. First of all, it's only available on two of Emirates' routes out of Dubai (roundtrip to and from Brussels and Geneva), and the airline "is currently blocking all but the most expensive (F) fare class on flights with the new suite."
But still... #goals.
