Oprah Winfrey Is Adorably Obsessed With This Airport Snack for "Regular People"

The TV icon thinks this carryon-friendly treat is just delicious.

Oprah Winfrey sends her compliments to the chef. And that chef's name is... Auntie Anne? That's right: The pretzels long beloved (or reluctantly accepted) by frequent travelers and mall-dwellers alike seem like a chef-made treat to the TV icon.

Ava DuVernay, who directed Winfrey in A Wrinkle in Time, recently shared the story of that time Oprah discovered Auntie Anne's Pretzels. "She's like, 'Oh my God this pretzel is incredible! What chef? What bakery?," DuVernay recalled.

The director went on to explain that the treats are commonly found in airports. But, you'll need to leave the private V.I.P. lounge to nab one. "I was like, 'Yeah so like regular people have to walk through an airport to get to the flights, usually,' DuVernay said. "Her eyes light up."

And, it seems that Winfrey is quite the home chef herself... especially when it comes to movie night. A Wrinkle in Time's female cast members — who also include Reese Witherspoon and Mindy Kalig — recently gathered at Winfrey's home to watch a cut of the film. On the menu: truffled popcorn and wine.
