As a young girl I had always dreamed of working in fashion and living in New York - I was drawn to the bright lights and when I first visited New York in 2003. I was drawn to the energy and knew one day I would be living in New York City. From a young age I always thought to myself, how am I going to do this? How am I going to get there? At the age of 23 I decided to move to New York after getting a job in advertising as a media planner, but was still drawn to the world and glamour of fashion. When fashion week was starting to approach in August of 2006 I went on craigslist last night looking for an internship that would allow me to work later since I was working all day in advertising. I came across a posting for interns that would allow people to work the night shift and weekend- perfect, I though t- sent my resume and was in for an interview that Monday. I was so excited - when I came for my interview and stepped off the elevator at People's Revolution, I was immediately drawn in by the energy of the office, it was a magical moment and one that I will never forget. I was hired and started that Thursday and would go to work at my advertising job from 9am until about 7pm and then I would come into People's Revolution and work until whenever they needed me. I did this for three fashion week seasons until Kelly Cutrone needed a new assistant. I remember clearly she said to me, "Im looking for a new assistant, lets talk business." It was in that moment my whole life changed and I will never forget my interview with Kelly Cutrone and John Trudell (that is for a later blog.) I didnt know exactly what it meant to be an assistant or what it would really be like to work for Kelly, but I knew that I wanted to work with Kelly and People's Revolution. From the beginning, I knew that I was in a really special place with amazing and talented people and would be the place that I would start to fulfill the dreams I had as a little girl.
I had a chance to see the show and thought that it was unfair that the girl who had gotten the job was fired before she started. Stefanie searched to see if she could find something on that girl because she knew the new girl would replace her.
Hi Stefanie,
I worked in fashion for about a year until I realized that I didn't want it bad enough to really do it for a career. I just wanted to say that I know how much it takes and how maddening it can be and how much I admire you for being such a great worker, how dedicated and focused you are, and how wonderful your attitude is because, from firsthand experience, it can really break a lot of people.
Keep doing a great job!
I am so NOT a reality show fan at all, but after catching one episode of this show (it was actually the second one, I missed the first), I am now hooked! So hooked I watched that one episode twice...LOL. :)
I can already tell I am going to be a huge fan of Stephanie's. She so reminds me of myself (about 20 years ago), when I was trying to cut it as a graphic designer in a fast paced company. I love it!
What a great show and Stef you definitely stand out. You seem to be really dedicated and a hard worker. How all of you stay sane while working so much is amazing. When do you sleep? hahahaha
Keep it up - I bet your parents and family are proud!
Can't wait for the next episode, I'm hooked
I get that people want you to be PC and sensitive to the myriad of issues that we all have in this world, but I suspect that they also making mistakes in their own lives. I love hearing about how you got to NY and then to People's Revolution. My teen wants to go to NY and I think that you bring a touch of reality about the hard work and drive needed to succeed. You're a reality star in the making LOL enjoy the ride, sweetie.
I saw you on MTVs TrueLife a couple of years back!
Hey Stefanie & Team
Well I have to admit, after learning about Kelly & People's Revolution over the past few years I was really excited for this show. You guys are going to do something really special for reality TV here, you're giving us REALITY! I never realized how man details go into a runway show. We love the behind the scenes stuff! This show is going to do really well, keep it up guys!

Good show, kid. Stay strong and do not accept benzodiazepine treats from strangers trying to belittle you for actually taking some pride in and responsibility for your work. I am so glad you didn't take those pills. They're prescribed by a doctor for a good reason.
Keep blogging, we're reading and watching.
I appreciate the reality of this reality tv show. With reality comes the fact that we are not all politically correct in our words and actions every single day of the year. While we all aspire to not swear or not use offensive language very few of us live to that standard. I appreciate Kell on Earth for literally bringing us into the reality of their world and work with the good and the bad whether or not it is always respectable. Every day life isn't always respectable or sitcom politically correct and I appreciate the honest approach to this show.
Stefanie, you are an amazing!
Faithfully, tuned in,
Chi-town girl
i really loved this show and i have been dreaming of working in the fashion industry for as long as i can remember. I just wanted to ask where you would recommend going to college to be able to get a good degree so you can work in a place like People's Revolution?
I am not a reality TV fan, but this program, "Kell Hell" is great. Everyone plays an influential role but I do agree that Setanie definetly stands out. She is a sincere and hard working young woman and deserves applause for her hard work and caring personality. I could see that all are team players and a hard working crew. Kell is doing a good job guiding these young professionals. Good Luck to you all.

Hi Stefanie!
I really enjoyed the show last night! I have never followed these kind of blogs, but when Bravo announced you were writing one was I was excited to follow it! Your work ethic is very inspiring! What is your background in? Did you study fasion marketing in college?
Rachel
Stefanie I remember watching you on True Life and cant believe how far you have come, maybe some might think that just becoming promoted after so many years is not an accomplishment but when you work for the best in the pool of the very few they have no idea what they are talking about. My only issue is that Ive noticed you look really thin and hope that throughout all of this you are taking care of yourself. You have a great job with much excitement but dont neglect your body in the process. I wish you the best of luck and hope to keep watching you kick ass on future episodes!
Wow, this has now become my favorite show on television! Out of everyone else on the show (Minus Kelly of course) you stood out among the rest in my opinion. I aspire to one day work for Kelly. Your hard-working, committed attitude and dedication is truely an inspration. I think it's great how you can be wrapped up in your own work and still be able to help others in the office. Keep your head high. Good luck on everything.
Sincerely,
Nick M.
Hi Stefani,
I was watching you on Monday and saw you were very stressed. You seemed to be very nice and i'm sure you are.
I was just wondering why you feel the need to say you feel retarded not once but twice on national television.
I have a beautiful little girl who is severly retarded, she can't complain about feeling this way because she can't talk or sign. It took her 10 years to learn to walk.
I wish for you to maybe take the time to think about how this would be offensive to your viewers. Think what it might feel like if you were or had a child that was retarded, to hear you say I feel so retarded. It's not very becoming of you. This is my first time ever sending something like this but just felt like I needed to take the time to let you know.

Stefanie;
Sean is right you do stand out the most for me too. I think you are a extremely professional person. I have to say though I'm worried about you already on the first show. Sweetie you are a beautiful young lady, but you are pushing it too hard. Your starting to show dark circles and look very thin. I never even seen you eat once while you were working. I think some people really need to pick up the slack and help you. I've watched Kelly since The Hills and The City I never seen you on there, but I'm sure you were in the back ground kicking arss. Please take care of yourself, we like you and want to see you continue. Come on Kelly get this girl some help she's only one person. Love ya Stefanie and Kelly!!!! You both ROCK! The show is awesome!!!!

I really enjoyed what I watched of the show, and think you will be a compelling reason to continue to watch. But when you said you felt like a "retard" I was saddened. I'm not trying to be PC, but speaking from the perspective of the parent of a special needs child, the "R" word is offensive and backward. It certainly seemed to be said without thought, but so many of us touched by intellectual disability would be grateful not to hear that in self-deprecating casual conversation (certainly not broadcast to millions). You seem like a smart, capable young woman - and clearly able to take constructive criticism.
I remember you from the MTV True Life episode you did and you seemed really genuine and authentic and in love with the fashion world. I am glad to see you are doing well for yourself and I look forward to watching the rest of the season. Kudos!
Watching the show just now and you are the one person that stands out the most for me. I am watching you interact with everyone while doing your job and how amazingly well you are doing it. You alone will keep me coming back to watch for every week. I hadn't even heard of this show till my friend just happened on it now for the premiere.
Sean G.
seriously wasn't she on true life i'm going to fashion week?
