Thank You

"It has been quite the experience letting everyone into our lives both professionally and personally and thank you for continuing to watch and your support."

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for tuning into Kell on Earth week after week and getting an idea of what it is like to work at People's Revolution and in Fashion Public Relations. It has been quite the experience letting everyone into our lives both professionally and personally and thank you for continuing to watch and your support.

There have been so many great things that have happened in the past eight episodes and it is just a glimpse into the many wonderful moments that make People's Revolution so special. There have been a lot of highs and lows for myself as I have transitioned from being Kelly's assistant into a Jr. Account Executive, to staff being hired and fired - the latest addition of Grace at People's Revolution, growing friendships between the staff, and my own personal struggles between finding the balance between work and life.

I know that I did not blog last week, but Emily and I were in Los Angeles producing a Fashion Show for our client, Alternative Apparel, which was an amazing event and very well received by both the press and attended guests. I know earlier in the season of Kell on Earth there was a blow up between Emily and myself, but I must put this out  there: like I said before that was not a breakdown, that was a breakthrough. Yes, the way in which it happened was not ideal, but I learned a really important lesson from all of that and realized how everything that was going on was not a personal attack, but helping me get the results that are needed in this fast pace environment, and to not get so caught up in the emotions of things. Yes I was over tired and overwhelmed, but I just wanted to take a moment and thank Emily for being such a great mentor, bringing me on all of my first business trips and being such a great person - I truly appreciate it and look forward to the road ahead!

Robyn: I just wanted to take a moment and tell you how much I respect and appreciate you in so many ways personally and professionally, and I really admire your dedication to People's Revolution and PR as a whole - love you so much!

Kelly: Everyday I thank you for taking a chance on me and hiring me and I have truly learned so much from you and am inspired by you everyday. You're the most amazing company owner I have met, a wonderful mother to Ava and such a positive role model for people taking a chance on going to follow their dreams. You have touched so many people's lives in so many different ways and it really was such a great victory in surprising you for your birthday because it really was a celebration of you and all of the great things you have accomplished and will continue to. So I thank you every day for giving me the opportunity to follow my dreams. Love you!

Andrew M: Where do I even begin with you.. haha.. You have become like a little brother to me and I am so happy that we work together, sit next to each other, hang out outside of the office and for trying to bring the work/life balance into my life. We are a pack of Oreos and I love you so much! I can only imagine what other adventures we will have along the way!

Grace: Gurrll you know I have nothing but love for you and we will always stay together until the end! ha

Michelle: Im happy you no longer smack your gum in the office... and you know how thankful I am to have you as both a co-worker and a true friend - enough said.

Those we've lost along the way: I wish you all the best of luck on your professional journey- although you did not last here I wish you the best.

Finally I just want to thank my family for making New York possible for me and I love and miss you all everyday!

Hopefully we have a next season for everyone to enjoy and continue to watch the unique moments from People's Revolution.

Until next time...

xoxo Stefanie

Fun Times

"Just imagine trying to pull the wool over the eyes of someone like Kelly Cutrone! NOT EASY, to say the least."

Hey Everyone, It's been a couple weeks since I've had a chance to post my thoughts on Kell on Earth, as I just got back from Los Angeles and was very busy producing yet another fashion show, for our fave client Alternative Apparel. It was their very first fashion show and was hugely successful, thank goodness! If you're interested, you can check it out at http://www.alternativeapparel.com/Fall2010RunwayShow/). I am very proud of our work on that one - especially because Kelly, Stefanie, Mike and I all put a huge amount of energy and collaborative effort into it and thus were able to garner a huge amount of coverage, along with excellent reviews from publications like the LA Times and Women's Wear Daily, amongst many others. Even after 12 years and hundreds of fashion shows, I still feel proud of the job that I do and the excitement of seeing the results.

And now here we are at Episode Number 8. It's been a fun being a part of Kell on Earth! Although we live it every day, it has been an interesting experience to see how our regular working lives have been shown on TV. It's been a wild ride! We have a strong, solid team here at People's Revolution now and in Episode 7 you got to meet some of the other members of Team Rev, including long-time employees Mike Vargas (in our LA office) and Pablo Olea, who makes a brief appearance but is actually a central member of our team and manages the NY showroom. You also got to meet our newest Account Executive, Grace Healy, who has been an excellent new addition - I especially like her because she brings no drama, has a great sense of humor and just wants to get the job done. You also see a bit more of Michelle Aselta, our Lifestyle Director, who actually sits next to me in the office and is my partner in crime in all things Twilight related and/or pop culture related. Did any of you notice the Taylor Lautner poster on our bulletin board? That was (jokingly) put up there by Michelle and me - we are the only Twilight fans in the office and posted it up during the New Moon launch last year. Fun times.

On this last episode, we decided to put together a surprise party for Kelly...but of course NONE of us thought it would actually work. First of all, since we all sit together in one office space, there is not a lot of privacy in our surroundings and therefore not much room for secretive talk. Secondly -- just imagine trying to pull the wool over the eyes of someone like Kelly Cutrone! NOT EASY, to say the least. Kelly always wants to know everything that is going on, so we knew we had to think up some kind of work-related story in order to get her to the party. We decided to hold it at one of her absolute favorite places, the Carlyle Hotel, so that at least getting her to the location might be a little easier. Robyn and I made up a story that a client was having an after-party for a charity event Stefanie and I had just worked on that took place just down the street, and that Kelly needed to come and meet us there for some face-time with the client. Of course, when Kelly got there she wanted to go only to the restaurant, and not to the suite where we were waiting for her (Robyn and I were texting each other the whole time so I knew exactly when they would arrive). Robyn had to wrangle Kelly (and probably guilt-trip her) to get her to the suite where she thought the clients were actually mingling. But to her REAL surprise, it was all of us waiting there for her! I think Robyn had the most difficult task of the night - her job was to get Kelly up to the room without too much in-depth explanation - and she did it! Great job Berks, can't believe our story worked. It was great being a part of that special night for Kelly.

Look forward to seeing where things go from here and thanks again for watching the show!

Peace & Love
