I agree with Annabelle; this stuff is minor. It's petty.
I believe that geography has no real impact on class and basic courtesy. I'm American and my jaw dropped at the actions of both the Americans and the Brits ... And I only caught part of the show's marathon.
Basic consideration should dictate that you don't go for a smoke mid-meal, announce that you won't eat someone's food, request something else or shuffle food when you are a guest in someone's home ... What a great first impression. This was someone that generously welcomed you into their home and fed you, not a restaurant.
The creating scenes, and showing up more than 15 minutes late without calling and immediately apologizing, is just as bad. Juliet has no filter; she says what she thinks. Perhaps she thinks out loud, but it's confrontational and annoyingly inappropriate at times. You expect that from a teenager, not an adult.
Caprice is smart but an idealistic drama queen. Caroline is the snarky narcissistic type that puts down others with a smile ... Slippery like a snake. I respect Annabelle & Julie (the one with the title). The other two ladies seem like social climbers.
I don't think I'll watch next season. I know drama is great for a show's ratings, but it would be refreshing to see one show where people don't act like they're still in the schoolyard and rise above it all.
