What’s up? I’m writing to you all from Jakarta, where I unfortunately cannot watch Bravo TV. Come on Indonesia, step up the cable programming! I am counting the hours until I get back to DC and watch the show with my family. Although I expect a bunch of phone calls from my mom and sister, who will undoubtedly give me an earful.
Aspen was such a blast. Cooking for the Food & Wine crowd is amazing -- the event is filled with chefs and members of the food media that I truly respect.
A million thank yous to Dana Cowin for the amazing opportunity. Being a part of the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen was such a highlight for me this year. Feel free to invite me again Dana!
When I arrived in Aspen, I felt so preoccupied with the chaos surrounding the restaurant openings in DC, that having an escape -- where I was even able to go whitewater rafting and hiking -- was awesome. Aspen is such an incredible place that combines upscale with down-to-earth people who love nature. Despite being such a relaxed city, Aspen is dynamic and I can’t wait to go back.
Sorry, Spike -
I cannot believe you are a part of this show (or any other show). During your first season, you placed in the bottom 2 consistently 8 times. For the block party challenge, you torched marshmallows! How unclever and lazy! For your current gig, when you popped on screen, I channel surfed. Stick to your greasy burgers and fries and skip "trying to be famous".
If i ever go back to D.C. i will visit your restaurant.
wonder if Spike is single??
Love you on this show! And I loooove Good Stuff Eatery! Thanks for opening one in Crystal City! I work down the street and those darn milkshakes are so tempting & scrumptious! My favorite thing about your menu, I have to say, is the "Vegetarians Are People Too" sandwich. I love the name and I am a vegetarian, so I appreciate that you made such a different yet delicious alternative to a burger that is satisfying & fun. I like that you can still feel a little naughty eating it, as opposed to the vegetarian samis at other burger places in the area, which tend to be too vegetarian (if you know what I mean) and pretty boring. Can't wait to see more of you this season!

Hi, Spike! Nice to see you again! It looks like you and your family are working your tails off in D.C. No wonder Obama loves your burgers! I'm on a message board with about 1,000 other people, and quite a few have eaten at your place. Every single one of them have said that those burgers and milkshakes are to die for. Keep on keeping on!
