13 Ankle Boots That Will Make Getting Dressed for Fall So Much Easier (and Stylish!)

I’m shameless when it comes to shoes. Check my closet and you’ll find at least 8 pairs of knee-high boots, a half dozen mules of every color and heel height, pumps in any pattern you could dream up (plus at least 5 nearly identical pairs in black). It’s kind of a problem — especially because, if I’m totally honest with you, most of them never set foot outside the house. They just end up just sitting there on my shoe rack looking pretty. 

There’s an exception to this rule, though: the ankle boot. Flip over any of the five or six pairs you’ll find piled on the floor of my closet and you’ll notice they share one thing in common: well-worn soles that prove the depths of my love.
