Chrissy Teigen is not that tight with Donald Trump. (The POTUS even blocked the model on Twitter!) And Teigen has never been a vocal Ivanka Trump fan, either. Teigen has even lobbed a snarky remark or two in the first daughter's direction.
But, the supermodel does share something in common with at least one member of the Trump family: an affection for a lovely, kimono-style dress. And as you'll see, the appeal of this particular look is strong enough to transcend political differences.
On December 12, the pregnant Teigen stepped out in Manhattan to attend a birthday celebration for her mother. Clutching a bundle of balloons, Teigen wore the pink dress by Johanna Ortiz. With her hair in a top bun, the model used a cute navy cape to guard against the winter chill. She topped off the style with a pair of high, black boots. And, while the dress comes with a black-ribbon sash, it seems as though Teigen skipped wearing it around her waist.
As it turns out, Ivanka selected the very same dress for an official visit with the Japanese prime minister in November.
She put her own spin on the style. With a black ribbon tied around her waist, the businesswoman wore nude legs, black pumps, and a long, loose hairstyle.
The moral of this story? The kimono-style silhouette works for pregnant and non-pregnant women alike. And a floral print looks fetching in any season and on either side of the aisle.
