Kim Kardashian West has measurements that seem nearly unattainable. In a recent video that she shared on her app, the reality star revealed that she has a 24-inch waist and 39-inch hips. But, she's insisting she put in some serious gym time to get that hourglass shape.
During a book club meeting that Kardashian West captured in the video, her sister Kourtney remarked on the former's teeny waist. "I can’t take your hips seriously right now,” Kourtney said. “Your waist is so small and your hips are so big.”
Kim revealed her measurements, and noted with pride that her waist was the smallest it had ever been — even after she'd gained some 60 pounds during her pregnancy with Saint West. But, seriously: how did the reality star achieve the proportions of a human Jessica Rabbit (besides, obviously, having enough cash to hire a dream team of trainers and nutritionists)?
According to Kim, this is how it all went down. After delivering her little boy in 2015, she changed up her eating plan by following the Atkins Diet, and upped her workout routine. But in recent months, the reality star has been hitting the gym more intensely than ever with help from trainer Melissa Alcantara.
"Kim told me, ‘I love my body. I love the way it looks and I love my hips,’” the trainer told People. “She just wanted more muscle. She wanted bigger hamstrings, which accentuates the entire leg. And she wants those cut arms and abs!”
To get there, Kim began working out with Alcantara six days a week — and her grueling sweat sessions started at 6 a.m. According to Alcantara: "Kim has been getting some really nice results, like with her triceps. She can’t believe how much has changed over the last few months. And when you’re in this deep, it’s hard to go back. She just keeps it up.”
Need a little visual proof of those results? Take a peek at this mirror selfie, which the beauty posted on February 13.
Whatever this mom of three is doing, it's undeniable that her figure is impressive!
