If you've ever wondered what the lovely Jennifer Garner would look like with some thick facial hair — or, even if you haven't — we've got answers for you. On January 2, the Golden Globe-winning actress posted a throwback photo from the set of a film that never was. 

After a caption that jokingly exclaimed: "New Year, New Me," the Dallas Buyers Club star explained what the photo actually depicted. Alas, it's not a fresh look for 2018 — though Kris Jenner has got plenty for us in that department. 

Garner's photo was actually snapped back in 2011, when she was working on a movie that didn't end up happening. "Turns out I was preggers," the star explained in hash-tag form. She added: "Babies are better than movies." But, is anything really better than this glimpse at Garner with five o'clock shadow?

We must say, the mom of three makes a pretty cute dude — and fans agree! In the comments below the Instagram pic, some even speculated that Garner's male doppelganger would be the ever-so-adorable Eddie Redmayne.
