This past weekend, tons of stars like Angelina Jolie, Orlando Bloom, and royal couple Kate Middleton and Prince Charles gathered in London for the 71st British Academy Film Awards. While the annual event was filled with dapper tuxedos and stunning gowns, it was Salma Hayek who stole the show with a surprising new look.
On Saturday evening, the Mexican actress had everyone doing a double take when she attended the BAFTA nominee party donning a blunt blonde lob. That’s right, the naturally dark-haired beauty decided to take a walk on the blonde side, and we are floored by this slay. Hayek wore a black-collared Gucci dress to the occasion in continued support of the Time’s Up movement.

Her blonde bombshell makeover comes at the hands of Kérastase Celebrity Hairstylist, Jennifer Yepez, and famed colorist Aura. While many people were wondering whether the change is permanent, we can confirm that Hayek’s blonde hairstyle was indeed a wig.
A day later Hayek went back to her signature dark sultry strands.
It looks like wigs might just be Hayek’s new favorite hair trick. Just last year, the Frida star also tested the waters with pink and gray hair.
