Fake Out

Lori explains why Dana was so picky when looking for a potential date.

Mar 11, 2012

Let’s back up for a second and talk about my Project Soulmate manscaping event. In addition to providing love consulting and dating advice to our clients, I also make sure my clients are well groomed, feeling and looking their best on their quest for love. Thanks to my fab image consultant (Amanda Sanders) we got my men in this episode to put their best face forward. I always say, when you look good, you feel good. Every woman loves a confident man, but not a caveman! That look is not OK unless maybe you are an actor for a Geico commercial. Clean shaven is always a treat, because it’s easier to kiss.

Jesse was my other project this episode. When I first met with him, it was obvious this was not going to be easy.  Jesse needed a major confidence boost and had to learn not to interview his date just to keep fluid conversation going. I tell my men that confidence is KEY! I was happy to help Jesse since I could see he just needed someone to build him up. My mission -- to find him a smart, sweet girl with a positive attitude.

Girls are everywhere in NY. One of the best places to pick them up is at the gym. Hey, if men don’t have the balls to do it, I will. This week I met the very pretty and sweet Stephanie while she is working out at the gym. She was all smiles and had just the positive attitude that Jesse needed. And the icing on the cake? This chick is a successful entrepreneur. Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!

Whatever happened to Tim in this episode? The episode just stated that he was 29. He was the hairy chest guy whose chest was fully man-scaped clean. In my personal opinion, I liked the chest hair and it was not a bad look at all on him.

Big fan of MANY shows ob Bravo.. This is NOT one of them, can't stand the girl... Bravo what were you thinking!!!!

Wow, what a difference between your show & the other match maker show! You are so much nicer, caring & have a much better personality and attitude. I am now a Fan! I had to stop watching the other show, they are so negative and rude. P.S. Love the way you think of your husband & keeping your marriage exciting. *Take notes from this woman people!

I just caught the first episode this week. I dvr'd it after seeing the first six minutes. I am a tv reality lover. I most enjoy the ones that help others as the core. I was just texting my friend telling him I would love for him to get Lori's help. I already convinced my best friend that she HAD to watch the show. So I want to know her astrological sign (I'm into that) only to find out that Bravo is only giving 2 episodes. How can that be if they've shown clips that look like a full season??? I am disappointed because I loved her after the first six minutes. She's real. She's adorable. She's the girl you went to summer camp with and she got all the attention without trying. After listening to her husband's comments about her, I was convinced of her connection to God. She loves what she does and her life supports it. She is convinced she has gifts where connecting single souls to one another is a God given gift, because she knows the importance of love. I hope Bravo takes another look...or sell the episodes or something. I love her and know something stupid must have ended this relationship. I can't swallow the amount of drama and acid has in all the other reality shows without the sweet and true concern of shows like Love Broker!!!!! Please Rethink this!!!!! Lori...whatever happens with Bravo...you've got a fan in me!!! You're real and I want you to find my friend Burrell a wonderful girl. I'm a Brooklyn girl myself and got loyalty for ya!!!

What happened to Love Broker? Keep making more shows Bravo...this is a good one!

Come on BRAVO —don't cancel Lori : ( She's super fun and cute yet intelligent and passionate about what she does unlike your previous Matchmaker whose show is so contrived it isn't even worth watching. Unlike the majority of dating/relationship resources on TV, Lori has some real life drama mixed with solid insights people can take away while having fun and being entertained. I thought you were finally stepping up the quality from the tired and toxic Stanger Schtick. Please whatever you do, give us something better than that or we'll have to look elsewhere for decent dating drama...

This was not a good show... And I watch Bravo everyday but this didn't do it for me
