Saw

Episode 1: Bravotv.com's Assistant Editor can't stand the sight of shoe carnage.

He's baaack! Everyone's favorite fiercely fanciful designer is opening up his studio to the world, and we couldn't be more thrilled. I don't know about you, but I'm all about over-the-top, more-is-more kind of fashion (I'll add one accessory before I leave my apartment, thank you very much), so seeing Chris create his crazy costume couture is a sheer delight.

While all you Runway fans are familiar with Chris, you may not be so familiar with his team. Luckily this handy dandy video will catch you up to speed.

Chris' client, famed footwear guru Ruthie Davis, wants a Bond Girl-esque look for the launch of her new line. Honestly I'm not sure how Chris whipped up a sketch so fast (take a closer look at it HERE), since Bond girls are generally known for taking off, not putting on, clothes. But in any event, Chris' be-shoed dominatrix look was amazing.

I was kind of hoping they'd come up with a cool Bond girl name to acompany the outfit. Personally I was thinking Stiletta Vanderpump.

They could have just called it a day with this, right? I kid, I kid! But I won't lie, I was a little worried when I gazed upon Chris' first pass at incorporating shoes into Ruthie's look. Clearly there was a ways to go.

What would cause Izzy to wince in horror? The highest form of fashion sacrilege -- shoe slaughter! Izzy, the world looked away with you at the moment Matt cut into those heels. It was more gruesome than Saw V. OK, perhaps that's a bit of an exaggeration. Less gruesome, but certainly more sad.

It couldn't be more fitting that Chris' muse is Go Your Own Way chanteuse Stevie Nicks. How much would you love to see him design a gypsy/wiccan inspired piece for Stevie? I imagine it would involve lots of little tamborines.

The final result was a true "shoegasm" as the title of this episode suggests. Ruthie really rocked the look, and she couldn't deny that the outfit was way better with all the shoe accents. However I couldn't help but wonder, "How will she sit in this dress?" In those intense pumps, I'd think she'd need to be able to sit every now again. But hey, she's a shoe designer, so walking around in super high heels must be second nature.

Ta-Ta Talk

Episode 9: Bravotv.com's Assistant Editor thinks Izzy and Alex need to make a boob-themed musical.

I think it's mandatory that before you read the recap of this episode you take a moment to watch this video in which Izzy and Alex spout every name for boobs they can come up with.

See, aren't you pumped for an episode about bras now? I had completely forgotten about the word bazongas. People should bring it back into the vernacular.

I also think Alex and Izzy should seriously consider putting together a movie or musical called "Tits in Space". Between Izzy's wigs and Alex's outrageous outfits, I can only imagine how completely over-the-top the costumes would be. Maybe it would be a fashion show, but I just need that to happen.mad-fashion-season-1-gallery-episode-109

This week Chris' cups ranneth over as he had to create a bra-tastic ensemble for Jene Luciani, author of The Bra Book. Luckily she was game for some of Chris' Mad Fashion and let him run wild with brasseries. Two hundred brasseries to be exact. Which means four hundred individual cups in need of pink spray paint and bedazzling. Let's just say it was a real handful for Christine and Jake (haha boob jokes!).mad-fashion-season-1-gallery-episode-109

Izzy had a bit of a wig out moment when she became completely frazzled by all the frizz. When Alex couldn't even come up with something good to say about it, she knew it was doomed. The saddest part was that even after she managed to salvage it, the color was completely off and the whole hair piece ended up getting scrapped. Well maybe not so sad for Izzy, who was relieved to see it go. mad-fashion-season-1-gallery-episode-109

Wig aside, everything else really came together and Jene loved the dress. Chris really delivered on his promise to make her cleavage look classy. While he may have thought it was a bra-strocity, I thought it was more of a bra-nanza.

P.S. Is it just me or do the cups look like cute, little creatures?Next week Chris faces his biggest challenge yet when he has to design a fabulous gown for Chrissy Teigen to wear to the Met Ball.
