Amanda talks about her close friend, Gabe, leaving.
April 7, 2009This week’s photo shoot was an underwater shoot. I was so excited for this because I just did my first underwater shoot about a month ago. So I feel like I have an edge over the competition this week. It was so cold outside that day and I was really scared that the pool would be freezing as well, but it was actually really hot. I didn’t want to get out! This shoot was by far the most fun. Howard (the photographer) was amazing. He had great direction and was very easy to work with. I feel very, very good about my performance. Howard said I did great so I’m confident I’ll get a great picture.
Nicole came the next day and gave us our books, and I am shocked! I LOVE my picture so much. It’s my favorite by far out of all the rest of my pictures in my book. Hopefully the judges will agree.
On catwalk day, Tyson and Nicole said we weren’t done with the “elements.” The men would be simulating ice and the girls would be fire.
When the stylists put me in my dress, I was super scared because it had a very long train and was extremely hard to walk in. But I rocked it out and at the end of the day I was safe. I can’t believe I made the top 10! I’ve accomplished so much since I’ve been here. I’m very proud of myself.
However, someone who is very close to me left. Gabe and I connected as really close friends and he got eliminated. I’m still shocked, but I guess the judges were unable to see what I saw. He’s going to make it so far in the modeling world regardless though. But it hurts to have such a close friend leave. I’m going to be working doubly as hard now for the both of us.
Don't worry about Gabe he leads his own path, You're beautiful from every angle, something jordan doesn't have. You're full of expression and you're blonde and beautiful! You will be a model even if you dont make it to the end! YOu're beautiful face is out there! Be yourself and be strong! And don't let Jordan Bring you down because thats all a part of the game!
I just watched episode 4 of season 2 of make me a super model. Wow you people show a real cruel size to the human psyche. I'm shocked that you'd so blatantly show how much a persons feelings really doesn't matter. Modeling is plastic and useless in the world. There's nothing artistic about making someone miserable. You really show a dark side and its pathetic. I'm am not only writing here but I'm now on a crusade to show people what really matters. real beauty is from the inside. You all should be ashamed of yourself. I'm disgusted. What's the point in bashing this young woman Amanda's feelings on national television. Why do you all get off on hurting people. It makes so sense. No one really succeeds by hurting others and showing a real callus heart towards it. it's already bad enough that modeling portrays such a unhealthy image in the world. You think just because you can offer someone some fucking money that you have the right to tell them who they really are. Only weak minded people fall into that. Screw you Bravo I boycott you.
Just keep doing your thing Amanda! You look HOT! Jordan is obviously jealous of you but I am impressed that you do not let it get in the way when you have a photo shoot to do with her~
I think you are the best one on this show and are definitley going to win!!! You are beautiful and even if you don't win the show you should still stick to modeling:)
I think Gabe would have eventually pulled you down. He said something very powerful this week about counting on yourself. I know you have a connection, lean on your spirituality kiddo. The source of your power comes from within you. You are beautiful and confident and a nice girl. Whatever s**t has happened in your life does not define who are and whatever happens there is always GOD Hunter and your family to pull you through. You do rock the walk so now walk the talk. I hope you get immunity next week. YOU GO GIRL
