Cutting Out the Fat
Mountaha talks about her winning picture with Salome.
April 22, 2009We figured that this week’s shoot would be indoors and when we get to this club in the LES. AHH I love this city. The photographer is Roxanne. She is super-amazing, well-known, and has been in the fashion industry for so long, what a pleasure.
Tyson tells us it’s going to be a double shoot and two people are going home tonight. Nerves are in the air. He picks names from the box and I picked Salome. Jonathan had already picked Jordan and I thought it could be cool. Shoot theme is '60s club party scene. Just fab. I spent like 45 minutes explaining Salome what it was about and everything cause she had no idea. We both look like Edie Sedgwick and Twiggy. It seems so perfect. Our shoot goes amazing. I felt so great, and saw some of the pics. Yes!!! I definitely learned how to connect with la camera and send all the amazing energy I can during the shoot.
The catwalk is style wars. Same photo shoot groups would walk down the catwalk and have this “designers” style the clothes on us at the catwalk live. “Designers” from House of Diehl. Catherine Malandrino did not think they were designers. I think Salome and I did well as crazy as it sounds. We had almost similar outfits.
Kerryn and Laury are sent home. It finally feels like we’re cutting out the fat. But there’s still more to go. I simply love my pic this week. I’m smiling and it looks so f— amazing, so like '60s.
Mountaha, I have no doubt in my mind that you will be the season 2 winner! You have inspired me so much!

I definently loved your photo with Salome this week. you two rocked the house. I was a bit disappointed to see Kerryn leave teh show, but was overjoyed the judges finally saw that laury is not right for this industry. She plays the race card and really showed us her true color. I am sure tension in the house is lifted now that she is gone. Salome did not deserve such ridicule. It was unjust and not professional in any way. Keep up the great entertainment, I love this show and all of you!!!!

Mountaha....many people always say "It's a compitition...I'm not here to make friends". But this business is all about friendships and networking....so keep being the genuine person you are. I love Salome too and as much as you felt disappointed by not winning the photo shoot....you didn't let that effect your runway or your friendship with Salome. So see....you prove a person can be professional "and" a friend at the same time ;)
