Week 5 finds me closer to home with our fifth photo shoot taking place on the SS New Jersey right across from the river from my home in Philly.
Today’s shoot is a sensual threesome on the ship. I was partnered with Mountaha and Gabe but I was soon confident in our ability to deliver a good shot.
After we were styled we headed out to the deck where Justin the photographer positioned us in front of three rocket launchers. As soon as we started we had all committed to the theme of sensuality. Everything was going well at first but then Justin decided to rearrange the configuration by placing Gabe in the middle with Mountaha and I flanking him on both sides. This was to create a more homoerotic theme. “Oh Lord God Jesus!” Modeling is about commitment and I was not about to let a stigma come between me and the contract.
To say the least the photo shoot encompassed every element of sensuality as well as sexuality so as a group we left the shoot fully believing that we had fulfilled the brief.
Mountaha was highly anticipating Nicole’s arrival because she viewed the shoot as the first time she would have broken out of the safe zone and into the top 3. When we finally got the books and I opened to the picture I was the only one in my group who was completely shocked by the outcome. Gabe and Mountaha loved the image; I thought it was way too risqué for what we were asked but at the same time the photographer was egging us on.
At the runway we were asked to crossdress as the women were asked to wear suits and the men were asked to wear dresses. In the end CJ was sent home and Kerryn won immunity.
Hey man, Congrats this was long overdue but with persistence and patience, you will overcome. As far as I see you have already won and if you don't, those judges need to re-evaluate themselves. From one Trini Model to another...
I thought I was the only one who realized something was wrong!!!!! OMG the first time he didn't win I said ok, trhe second ok...then on and on I said wait Wtf!!!! He's DEFINITELY the best!!!! what's the difference in looks between him and Tyson? enlighten me please!!!! U people wont even give the dude TALKTIME! what's really going on here????? Sandhurst u have alot of fans, keep ur head up hun!
Nuff Luv from Jamaica!
Sandhurst....you are the show, without you, it would just be another modeling show...with you, it has an appeal beyond that...I am pulling for you buddy, your walk is great, just keep working on those pictures....open up a little bit more, let us see the inside of you and you will rock the entire show....Good luck
I don't know what is wrong with those judges, honestly, and I mean all of them except Tyson B. Sandhurst should have been won one of those challenges, he is the best on that show, in every sense of the word. Those judges are just gagging Sandhurst. That Man is built and he is a good runway walker and his pictures have been good and he has not won anything yet?? I just don't see that!!
Finally you won immunity. I was starting to think the judges were prejudice but "Who God Bless no man can curse". Keep being your beautiful caring self and you will shine through. I see great things for your future hon. Keep up the great work. p.s embrace humility and stay humble.
I am so big a fan of u and I knew u will won the immunity!!! U r stand out n can make u supermodel~!!!
He got what it takes to be a supermodel, I think that he is often denied that because the winners are sometimes not as good as him, he shows that he wants it and he directs his energy into modeling. We all know he got what it takes!
Sandhurst, here are some things you might like to consider: -winning/losing a "talent contest" is not necessarily an indicator of potential success. In fact, most talent show winners do not go on to achieve phenomenal success in their respective venues. -of all the contestants on this season of Supermodel, you unmistakably have the most distinguished, model-type face. You have standout, trademark features that are very memorable. Also, your accent adds intrigue and allure to your persona. Not to mention, the name is so so so supermodel-like. -your frame is great, but it would not hurt you to build a little more muscle mass....not so much that it detracts from your dancers build. Not a must though. -Valuable tip--practice posing and walking, mostly posing-your walk is good. Practice practice practice. In pose practice, don't try to build a repertoire. Rather, get completely comfortable with your ability to spontaneously strike a pose. If you let your mind and body become accustomed to moving through the full range, from extreme to subtle poses, you will get over the fear of looking ridiculous (not that you ever look ridiculous). Overcoming this crippling fear is one of the keys to the power of a super Supermodel. -No matter what the outcome of this season of Supermodel, i am certain you have a promising career as a model--no doubt. Just stay focused. You should work when others play.
You'r great, keep it up!!!!
I'm so happy you won this week I even scream of happines.
Lots of love

I have noticed that certain models get more time for comments as well as talk time during the show. A lot of time models like Sandhurst (hope I spelled it right) are overlooked. As I was listening to the response of what size boobs the guys preferred, when they got to SandH. they did not even let him respond. In the menage a trois shoot the photographer gave Sandhurst a compliment at the start, however so much time was put into getting the other two models up to par the final photo chosen did not show Sandhurst at his best. We keep hearing about about how great one of the other male models body is and this guy is totally overlooked. Some people will never get a fair shake. This guy looks a good as Tyson B. himself. what is really going on. here?
Please smile more.. You look much more handsome, attractive when you smile.. YOu have a beautiful smile. Keep up the good work!
idk... i feek like sandhurst is a great runway model but he's just 2 soft in the photoshoots he need to toughen up give more versatiality and fiercness
Sandhurs, you are the one that makes me watch this show. I have watched all the episodes all at once and I must say you are the most comitted and talented above all. I am in total agreement with the blogers, i thought you should have won immunity a long time ago, you are usually in the top 3 but never won immunity! I just dont get that.
The judges are definately holding you back and fail to give what is due to you. I love all you pictures and dont let them break your spirit.
God is watching and your seeds are being sewn.
Waz up sandhurst. This has nothing to do with this blog. Just saying hi. Your my second biggest phan on Make me a supermodle.(Brandon is my first) J.K (: Good luck!
FINALLY!!!! We have ourselves a more fair show. Looks like the producers and judges have seen the light. Sandhurst has been the best every week. I guess the “pretty” boys let you all down so much that by default he was unanimously selected as this week’s winner. I’ll take what I can get. He’s the best model in this competition. His heart is and has been in the right place. He has “true beauty” that exudes his character. Yeah, I realize this is a different show, but I think a great model must have inner and outer beauty. His unselfishness to help Salome this week speaks volumes of his recognition that he’s competing for a prize without losing his soul. Thanks for finally recognizing the “brother.”
I agree with all that's been said. Sandhurst is consistently good but his efforts are being recognized--other than the obvious fact that he hasn't been eliminated. Of course, if he won as many times as he should have, the show wouldn't be very exciting and we probably wouldn't be watching/blogging about it....
I love how you deliver in each challenge! You are such a nice and good person, I can tell with the way you behaved with other models... The advice I can give you is to always listen the judges critics and make sure you improve and grow every week. I really wish you will win this competition. Bonne chance!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sandhurst- you did it. You won immunity. Congratulations!!Now, let Brandon be a lesson. Don't let it go to your hear (though I don't think that it will) You are always os supportive to your castmates. I hope that the judges are seeing the total package and not just a photo or a catwalk. Way to go, man. Keep it moving in the upward trajectory. Steady and up. Keep pushing that envelope, relax that jaw with its natural sculpted lines, smile with your eyes, but not too much. all dat! Mash it up!! Thanks, Judges. You finally got it right. :-)
I am so confused with this show. Why do they pick models that dont even look the part to be a model. I think there is a lot of prejudice because Sanhurst should have won a go see on the 2 exist. When the show picks the next group of models please find some models that at least can be a model. I am disappointed in the black models becuase I know there are much better picks out there. Sandhurst by far is the best on the show. I just hope he want be cheated.
What does this man have to do to win a week? Sandhurst has the best body, best attitude, great pictures and the best catwalk of the men. I feel that the judges are holding back in picking him and grasping hard for some sort of negative feedback because he does not represent what the modeling industry wants. Jonathan will always win because he is what they want. If Sandhurst does finally messes up, lets see if they give him a chance like they do the others.
Sandhurst - as a fellow Trinbagonian I am rooting for you. Actually, I think you should have won immunity and the photo shoot several times already. So they want edge - give them edge. Push past your box and give them some island style. I know that you have it in you. I am watching - stay stong and you will go all the way. All the best, I am so happy for you. Congratulations, you are already a winner.
Sandhurst, I think you never fail to show correct emotion with your eyes. Even though the judges said they didn't quite feel your position in the photo, I looked at your eyes and I felt you had really had a great expression. I feel you have the right ideas. You're amazing. You make me so proud. Such a gorgeous model, you really are! You haven't let me down so far. Just remember, if the judges do give you criticism, try and look at it as a step to get yourself higher!
wow you have the look for one thing, but I feel you need work on different poses on your face you are very good heart guy so good luck you are the man Sandhurt your new fan from LELAND , MS
I don't know what the heck Sandhurst has to do to be picked as the week’s winner. It never fails that whatever [we] African men endeavor it seems we always have to rise above just to be equal. I know he's in a white dominated profession, but damn give the man a break. He's better than all the guys and should not be held back because the photographers pick pictures that highlight his white counterparts. I love your show and have watched every episode since the first season. Producers, judges, and guest judges please be fair and objective in your deliberations and less subjective and impartial. He deserves to win a "go see" and you know it. His body, his attitude, and his catwalk are phenomenal. He's earned the right to be there so give the black guy a "real" equal playing field to compete.
