Season 2
Season 1
-
Ken: Worst
Ken flopped in the models' first challenge – to create intimate moment while dangling high above New York City in a plexiglass box.
Tyson's Take: "Ken couldn't model or fight his way out of a paper bag. I could find someone on the street better than Ken, he was not a good use of my time."
-
Ken: Even Worse
Ken was the first model to get the boot, and with only two photos to choose from, we can't find a "best look" in the bunch. Sorry, Ken!
Tyson's Take: "Did you see Ken's walk? He was supposed to be a masculine and tough trainer, but he walked like a sissy."
-
Chris: Best
Chris' best photo was taken in his first shoot, when he was paired with Branden. Although he gave his best effort, Chris still landed in the bottom two.
Tyson's Take: "Branden was concerned about being grouped with Chris because he was gay. I told Brandon, 'Look man, you're into girls." I turned to Chris and said, "Man, you're into boys.' I told Brandon, 'What do you have to worry about? What do your friends at home care? They're sitting on the couch and you're doing something with your life at 18 years old. Come on, buddy. Step up and be a man. All you gotta do is remain professional.' And that's exactly what he did."
-
Chris: Worst
Chris was sent home after his not-so-sweet candy-inspired photo shoot.
Tyson's Take: "I'm sorry he went home, but he didn't work."
-
Karen: Best
Karen's best look came early in the competition, during the models' first catwalk challenge.
Tyson's Take: "She has a great body. When I was a kid I squeezed a hamster and his eyes popped out of his head. She has that problem. She has a deer in the headlights kind of look she needs to work on."
-
Karen: Worst
In the end, it was Karen's intense glare that turned the judges off.
Tyson's Take: "I didn't know what she was doing. When I saw her eyes I knew she was going home. She was not made to be modeling, I'm so sorry to say. There are tons of beautiful African American women out there with eyes that don't do that. She turned on that x-ray vision."
-
Shawn: Best
Shawn wasn't a strong model on the catwalk, but he shined in the second week of the competition during his candy photo shoot.
Tyson's Take: "He's got this kind of serial killer walk, but he brought some good ideas on the photo shoot."
-
Shawn: Worst
Shawn's lack of creativity and stiffness on the catwalk was inevitably why the judges sent him home. His "beautiful freak" was just a little too eek.
Nicole's Take: "[Modeling] is just not meant for him. He did some good work, but he had a lot of odds against him."
-
CJ: Best
Taking the advice of the judges, CJ let her guard down and showed her vulnerable side in Week 4's mirror photo shoot.
Tyson's Take: "Once people really see who she is they'll look at her and see that this girl is really beautiful and see that she really has something."
-
CJ: Worst
CJ tried to tap into her masculine side, but her negative attitude left the judges with no choice but to cut her from the competition.
Tyson's Take: "She's got bad communication skills. Nobody gets her sarcasm but her. She is a sourpuss. She needs to get that I hate the world chip off her shoulder."
-
Gabriel: Best
Gabriel's serious/sporty look was well-received, but the judges feared that Gabriel's look was becoming one-note.
Tyson's Take: "He's very reserved so you don't see a lot of different emotions with him, and you need that to be a successful model."
-
Gabriel: Worst
Gabe only had one look - serious - and by week six, the judges were fed up with his lack of versatility. At the 'fish n' net' shoot, Gabe sunk.
Tyson's Take: "The kid does have some emotions, but he was never able to pull them out in time for the show. It's sad and I wish him all the best."
-
Kerryn: Best
Kerryn's all-white ensemble was a big hit with both the judges and the hosts. Her work on the catwalk secured her in the win in Week 5.
Tyson's Take: Tyson says: I also liked when we had Kerryn in all white. That's the one she won the challenge with, and we were all like, "Wow!"
-
Kerryn: Worst
The Week 7 style wars ended with two catwalk casualties: Laury AND Kerryn. Tyson wasn't convinced that Kerryn deserved to be eliminated, especially considering her strong performance in the previous week.
Tyson's Take: As far as Kerryn going home, I don't think she should have went...As you can see, Kerryn did well last week and all of a sudden she got turned around and sent home. It's anybody's game. They could easily mess it up for themselves.
-
Laury: Best
Laury's mirror pose in Week 4 was her strongest photograph. But Nicole was weary of Laury's demanding 'tude.
Nicole's Take: "She's Ms. Bossy Boots, which is not attractive. She's very controlling. She has an amazing body and everything else was not kicking it."
-
Laury: Worst
Laury became runway roadkill in the Week 7 style wars, when she showed off a hot mess of an outfit.
Tyson's Take: "I didn't expect her to stay that long. Every time she thought she was right she was really wrong. Poor thing."
-
Colin: Best
Not many guys look good in a skirt, but Colin wears it well! Needless to say, Nicole was a big fan...
Nicole's Take: "He's hot. He's sexy. It's just a shame that he doesn't have that personality to match it. He has potential. He's so in his head."
-
Colin: Worst
Colin tried to tap into his inner-farm boy, but it wasn't the manure that stunk.
Tyson's Take: "I was done with [Colin]. So done carrying him. Nicole really got mad at me. I was trying to cut the fat! He was good to look at, but that's all. He had no clue of the business. Did you see him with that steer? Boy, what are you doing? You look like you have a bad case of diarrhea."
-
Amanda: Best
Amanda's fierce look secured her the win in the sport action shots during Week 3.
Nicole's Take: "She told me she was doing this for her son and that was her driving force. She did an incredible job on the photo shoot. She needs to use that passion she has, that wanting to do it for herself and her son, because it worked for her."
-
Amanda: Worst
Amanda cracked under the pressure in the bubble and butterflies catwalk.
Nicole's Take: "All of the anxiety she had starting working against her....She had a lot of tension in her body and her face and it showed in her pictures and on the runway. It worked against her."
-
Jordan: Best
Jordan shined when paired with Jonathan for the 60s-themed, mod photo shoot.
Nicole's Take: "[Jonathan and Jordan] were awesome. I loved everything about what they did. They went first and they did a great job. Loved it.
-
Jordan: Worst
Jordan had a tough time embodying the punk, grunge, and urban look of the Rowdy clothing line. But her cockiness on and off the catwalk was just one of the reasons she got the boot.
Tyson's Take: "She starts off the show by saying, 'Ha ha, Amanda's gone' and look what happens. The best revenge is success. You don't need to be a 12-year-old. That wasn't necessary. She got dropped."
-
Salome: Best
Salome 60s shoot with Mountaha was a smash success, but perhaps Salome doesn't deserve all the credit...
Tyson's Take: "They did well, those two. Good match. Good match. We had Salome and Mountaha. I thought they were good. Salome had some good instruction from Mountaha. It kind of helped her understand what she needed to do. If it wasn't for Mountaha, Salome would have failed."
-
Salome: Worst
Salome donned a long blonde wig to model looks designed by celeb designer The Blonds, but she couldn't pull off the new 'do.
Tyson's Take: "The face is beautiful, but I'm not sure it's a model's face."
-
Mountaha: Best
Mountaha rocked and rolled her way to a win in Week 10 for the Heely and street clothes challenge.
Nicole's Take: "Mountaha is really creative and she's the type of girl that loves to move. You kinda got to let her do her thing."
-
Mountaha: Worst
Mountaha's elegant evening gown look was a fashion flop, and the judges declared it a catwalk catastrophe.
Tyson's Take: "I thought the wig didn't work for Mountaha. Wigs look bad even if they're custom for your head. I thought that was unlucky for her and she didn't make it work. You can't say something though. You're a canvas. Sometimes it's luck."
-
Sandhurst: Best (so far...)
Sandhurst showed some skin in the nude photo shoot, and his racy pose was arguably his best look this season.
Nicole's Take: "Sandhurst was beautiful this week. I loved his nude photo and he really knows how to work his body. He has a great energy and he's really witty and soulful."
-
Sandhurst: Worst (so far...)
Sandhurst showed off a skirt for a cross-over style catwalk, but his lack of expression landed him the bottom three.
Tyson's Take: "Sandhurst needs to loosen-up, he's too stiff at times."
-
Jonathan: Best (so far...)
Jonathan's erotic shot in the models' threesome shoot earned him a go-see (which he booked!)
Tyson's Take: "I was very proud of him. It was perfect. That's the kind of modeling Jonathan needs to be in. He doesn't need to be in runway because he's got this thing where he keeps his arms out like a muscle man, so this was right up Jonathan's alley."
-
Jonathan: Worst (so far...)
Jonathan landed in the bottom three when he couldn't pull off a fun catwalk in his Heely's.
Nicole's Take: "Someone like Jonathan who is good looking and charming but isn't unique maybe should have gone home."
-
Branden: Best (so far...)
Branden's best look came early in the competition, during Week 2's candy shoot.
Nicole's Take: "Branden is really a people person. He's vulnerable and that's a really good quality to have as a model. He's up for anything and he's so enthusiastic. He's good at what he's doing right now."
-
Branden: Worst (so far...)
Branden couldn't quite pull off his improv Couture look, and landed in the bottom two.
Tyson's Take: "To be eighteen and going into something like this, it requires a lot of maturity. He's eighteen and growing up in America's eyes right now and you gotta give him a little space sometimes. You reel him back in and let him know what's up. I had to do that."
