Dr. Heavenly Kimes Finally Explained Why She Calls Her Husband Damon Kimes "Daddy"

The Married to Medicine doctor dug deep into her favorite term of endearment.

Dr. Heavenly Kimes is proud to call her husband Dr. Damon Kimes "Daddy," even when none of their children are present, and she believes he's earned it.

"I mean, everybody’s not deserving of the title," the Married to Medicine dentist said in an interview with her somewhat-rival Mariah Huq on Hollywood Unlocked.

Mariah was asked if she calls her husband Dr. Aydin Huq "Daddy" as well, but she wasn't having it.

"No, you know why?" she replied. "Everybody's different. I call him husband, I call him boo, I call him bae, I call him Aydin. Because I had a father. My father just died two years ago and it would make my skin crawl to call my husband Daddy. You asked, I’m gonna tell you. Because I had a really close relationship with my father, he just died on Christmas Eve two years ago and I cannot call my husband Daddy and then sleep with him. But he’s still my king."

"Let me tell you why I call my husband Daddy," Dr. Heavenly offered. "My husband and I just had our first son, Damon, Jr., and his name is Damon too so my son would call him Damon because I called him Damon, so I started calling him Daddy and he liked it. He liked it!"

"Absolutely not," Mariah interjected.

"And it’s not taking away from my father either," Dr. Heavenly continued. "I don't have an issue with my father. My father is deceased as well and we had a close relationship. I think people read too much into stuff. I call my husband Daddy because he’s everything a daddy should be."

That made sense to Mariah when Dr. Heavenly put it that way.

"I agree with her on that," Mariah said. "I think sometimes you just have to do what’s good in your household. She calls her husband Daddy, I call mine Boo or Bae or whatever. So you've got to do what works for you in your household."

Looks like we've found one thing that these two can agree on, which may be a minor miracle.
