Dr. Jackie introduces you to the gals and guarantees that she is not boring.

By Jacqueline Walters

Dr. Jackie opens the cabinet to Married to Medicine.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine now streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

The medicine cabinet has been opened tonight with the premiere of Married to Medicine. Let me give you the skinny on what you found. Tonight was only a glimpse of the exciting world of doctors when the white coats come off. We saw beauty, sassy, boisterous, humor, and intelligence and rolled up in one episode. Is it hard to tell the MDs from the Mrs. MDs -- the ladies that help to get their husbands off to the office?

Let me start by introducing myself. I am Dr. Jackie, a prominent OBGYN in Atlanta. Some may call me "Dr Diva." I work hard and play little. Tonight I was even referred to as boring, elderly, Mother Theresa, and Gandhi-like. It's not easy being beautiful, intelligent, and reasonable, but I do it with class and style. I guess I'm like wine, as I age I become more valuable. Dr. Simone Witchmore (as she's sometimes referred to), is my former partner. She will always say out loud whatever she's feeling. She will never be called boring. Let me tell you a secret. . .She is often mistaken for Dr. Jackie!

Everyone has heard the saying, "Behind every good man is a good woman." I refer to them as "Mrs.MD." This is unfamiliar territory for me and a whole new world. It is a world full of different fashion, language, and reason.

Mariah, "She," is the center of attention. Yaaassss SHE is making the world GAG. Then there is Quad "Black Barbie," who speaks a language that might as well be foreign to me. She is definitely "Shady Boots," over-the-top. I found that one in Quad's dictionary. Kari, "CFO to the Ortho," is the one grain of salt in the pepper shaker. Then, there is Toya "Bonafide Mrs. MD."

Tonight, I might call Toya the "Quiet Storm" -- quietly causing damage. This group of women might not be able to write a prescription, but they can certainly cause a diagnosis needing medication.

Now these are not the wives from Wisteria Lane but they are the wives of Married to Medicine. They are even more exciting! Medicine is not an absolute science, nor is being married to medicine. It takes lots of time and patience. Watch the show and you will gain insight into the field of medicine and the lives of doctors inside and outside of the office. Be careful not to judge. If you were Married to Medicine, what would we find in your medicine cabinet?
