Quad Does Not Receive What I Say to Her

Dr. Simone Whitmore spills on Kari's humor, Dr. Jackie's walk, Mariah's party, and Quad's immaturity.

By Simone Whitmore

The Doctor is in and Inspired!

I would like to start the blog this week thanking all of my patients, friends, family, and Tweethearts for all of the positive comments and feedback, especially Funky Dineva for so much love! It is very gratifying to hear from so many wonderful people and all of the great stories being shared with me.  To all my young friends out there, please keep striving to do your best, make sure you dream big, and know that you are smart enough and good enough to achieve your goals.

How to Watch

Watch Married to Medicine now streaming on Peacock and the Bravo App.

Now let's address the show. The planning for the birthday party for Dr. Duncan and Dr. Aydin has definitely started out rocky. Mariah was going to do everything in her power to get Quad invited to this party. Kari has a very strange sense of humor, and I have to admit that I don't get her jokes or humor most of the time. I think Mariah hit her with one low blow, but Kari definitely out-threw Mariah on the low blows at the wine tasting. I wonder if Kari gets just how low some of the blows are.  Mariah's comment "Google is great" was funny. I am glad they decided to get past the petty jabs and work together to get the party planned.

This was a great time for me because my sister Carmen came to visit from Virginia. We always have a great time together and I was so glad she brought me a couple of dresses to try on. I have no shame in my game taking Carmen's hand-me-downs. She has a fabulous wardrobe!

I don't think I have ever laughed harder than when Carmen tasted the pepper sauce with chips. One of my Trinidadian friends makes this pepper sauce for Cecil so it is like FIRE!!! I have never tasted it.

Let me start out by saying Toya and Dr. Eugene have a lovely house. Now it seems that Toya is ready to go to the next level. I am glad Nomad Concierge Medicine business has been launched, because Dr. Eugene is going to have to work tons of hours to pay for this new house. All I can do is laugh when hearing all of the amenities Toya is planning for the house (i.e. a swim up beach). Can't wait until they move in with all of the features so I can visit!  However, I will definitely say those dollar signs will make you nervous (LOL).I am glad everyone gets an opportunity to see the beautiful Breast Cancer luncheon Dr. Jackie hosted for her patients. It was such an inspiring day and I enjoyed sharing this day with Dr. Jackie. I am also glad they didn't catch me crying out all of my makeup. The breast cancer walk was great. I was really proud of Mariah and Quad for doing the walk. Dr. Jackie was not pleased with their wigs and costumes, but I know she was grateful for their participation physically as well as financially. I was working on call that weekend, but I was so glad to come out and cheer on my friends doing the walk.  Please believe me...I support my friends any way that I can, EXCEPT with walking! I wasn't going to join the walk this year, next year or any other year.

On a side note, I have been criticized for attempting to address Quad's behavior and not Toya's or Kari's. I thought I had a natural connection with Quad because we are both from Tennessee and friends with Mariah. I was sadly mistaken about this connection. Quad does not receive anything I have to say to her. She has rejected my comments and says she "has ejected me from her presence!" No worries there, Ms. Quad, because I will not offer another word of advice to you except KEEP LIVING and hopefully you'll gain insight into this crazy world and the people who are in it. I also talk to Toya every chance I get even, if it isn't captured on camera. Kari and I have not spent any alone time together but hopefully we will in the near future and, rest assured, I will share my opinions with her.  Lastly, it has been funny to receive so many comments about my vodka comments. I started making the comment as a joke, and it has been my running joke at all of the parties. I am in solo practice at North Perimeter OB/GYN and I am working on call every day Monday through Friday for my patients.  I am fortunate to be in a great weekend call group that allows me to have some weekends off. When I have a free weekend off from medicine, I spend my time relaxing, hanging out with my family and friends, and sometimes drinking a vodka martini. (Did you ever wonder how your doctor spends his or her weekends off?) I know I brought Absolut to Mariah's party, but thanks to one of my good friends, my favorite martini is made with CIROC!!! Cecil’s bar is fully stocked with Ciroc.

All I can say about the party and next week is...stay tuned. I couldn't believe my eyes on the events that took place!
