Mariah Knows Only the Strong Survive

Mariah can't believe the ladies' actions at the princess party, but she knows God is just preparing her.

Dressing up for Amira's Royal Tea Party was a lot of fun. The party was beautiful, and so was Amira on her special day. One of the things that I love about the women in this circle, is that we all go above and beyond for our children.

It's quite unfortunate that the ladies thought Amira's royal affair was the opportune time to inform me of my "uninvitation" to the couples' trip. A phone call or even a lunch date would have sufficed. I'm starting to get the notion that many of these "mean girl" antics are efforts to humiliate, alienate, or diminish me.

They should remember that whenever you find yourself continuously on the side of the majority or following the crowd, it's time to take a step back and reflect.

I'm not quite sure what their intentions are, but I do know, there are times in life that everyone will have to stand alone. It doesn't mean that you're wrong, it just means that God wants you to focus on you. I know he is building me to be stronger and better for what's to come.

"Solitude is strength; to depend on the presence of the crowd is weakness. The man who needs a mob to nerve him is much more alone than he imagines" -- Paul Brunton
