Quad Checks In to the Heartbreak Hotel

Quad thought she and Mariah Huq were going to kill it together -- but Mariah killed their friendship instead.

Mariah wants to make it like I'm attention craved and all about an audience. She's even gone as far to say fame has changed me. However, it hasn't and never will. It's expected from her to use that as a deflection tactic only to hide the underlying truth. I never wanted to be famous and originally I didn't want to do the show. I only did it as a favor to Mariah. So any assertions that this ended our friendship are false.

Her condescending comments and her bad mouthing me to everyone who would listen, coupled with the physical dispute, was the nail in the coffin for our friendship. In last week's episode she called me a rat and this week's episode she calls me a "f---ing roach" that she should have left me where she found me -- insinuating she found me in the slums, gutter, or ghetto. When I met her I was perusing a higher education on the colligate path, so I'm not sure how she got that confused. Calling me a "young ass girl" or "Little Miss Quad" to minimize me shows her lack of respect for me. Well honey, she's right I'm young -- but she left out fierce and fabulous! I bet you anything that if anyone of these ladies could shave off 10 years of their lives they would.

The STK incident was not filmed, so she can lie and deny what really happened -- and trust me she will. I’m hurt to the core. Over the years I have ignored and refused to believe others who have come to me on several occasions telling me things that Mariah has said about me. In the past, I would have read anyone for filth who spoke negatively about Mariah. However, it's not about what others have said. This is about what she said to my face. How much can one take? Her mantra has always been "you let people get in your ear." That just her strategic way of keeping me in the dark and only believing her words.

It's clear to me that she looks at me as a subordinate to her. For instance, her stating she's the tree and I'm only a branch. Everyone knows a branch in a small fragment of the tree. How about her statement, "I'm not getting off her chariot to throw tomatoes with you sweetheart" as if I was a peasant. A good friend with mutual respect would have never uttered such words. I didn't know that a friendship was a platform. I've always understood a friendship to be one of love, trust, bonding, protection, and honesty. You know, a real friendship! In a recent interview Mariah stated "It's almost like Quad is trying to surpass the teacher. Stating she trained me. Well that's new to me. She can't teach me anything, she's learning herself. I thought we were learning together. It's clear to me no matter how she tries to mask it. Her comments reflect the one of a jealous person. Her insecurities of me being the breakout star of Married to Medicine has led her to become envious, jealous, and physical towards me. So I stand corrected my attitude has changed towards Mariah but not because of fame. I now see her for who she really is and she's not the person she wants the world to believe she is. I thought we were going to kill it together (meaning take the entertainment business by storm) but she just killed us. . .

I didn't like how things went down in the tranquility room. There was nothing tranquil about the tranquility room. It was more like Heartbreak Hotel for me, but I’m overjoyed that I served as an inspiration for Simone and Toya to mend fences. Simone, my hat goes off to you. It takes a big person to take ownership for their actions and be humble enough to apologize.

Where are Heavenly's manners? Hoping on a panel that she was not invited on. You’re very accomplished and should not appear so thirsty. However, Lisa slayed you with grace and class!

Speaking of Lisa I'm happy to learn that she only had benign cyst. I love how Lisa's family came together in prayer, love, and support. A family that prays together stays together. I'm elated that Lisa is cancer-free!

Taking in consideration all that has transpired between Mariah and I, it was really a struggle for me in making my decision rather or not to invite her to the Women of Atlanta Fashion show. Reco, at the time being both our friend, really wanted us to try to salvage our friendship. In my heart I wanted the same. Yet, I was a bit apprehensive not knowing the outcome. Was I ever so wrong! I should have followed my first mind and just gave it time. Stay tuned for more Married To Medicine. . .

Simone: Yes, I'm Still Angry with Toya

Simone says she's not a fence rider and thinks Toya lacks the "intellect" and "maturity" to be on Married to Medicine.

Whew! We made it through Reunion still alive and in one piece, but just barely. Mysteries remain intact, questions were left unaswered, old friendships were severed forever and some new friendships just couldn't get off the ground.  Where in the world does this mess leave this group?

I truly believe Married to Medicine has something to offer America. Right now, we are the only show with seven married African American couples who also happen to have seven doctorates. Our young Black America needs to see more of this on TV, not fighting, murders, scandals or mistresses. We have shown everything life has to offer, the good, the bad and everything in between. A few of you have been so quick to criticize our behavior but realistically, everyone walking this earth experiences difficulties in relationships. And everyone has reacted or overreacted to a situation. Surely no one can should assume that a doctorate changes human nature or human responses.

Some of you swear you would never act like some of us, but I know you have behaved poorly behind closed doors. We chose to open the door and let the camera in. The scenarios in life are all the same, the only difference between my life and yours are the people in it!

It was difficult AGAIN to witness Toya telling a lie about her intent to fight me in front of my son AFTER calling me a bad mother.  It is sad that she can throw jabs and insults on the lowest levels but can not handle them in return. She doesn't have the self control, intellect or maturity to be on a show called Married to Medicine.  I am so sure she would fit in quite well on some other shows which I will not name for you today. (This is pure shade and yes, I'm still angry with her.)

I must share some final thoughts on Quad and Mariah, even though I know you're tired of beating a dead horse.  I did not say much on the Reunion after Toya lunged "to give me a hug" because I felt some of the ladies couldn't handle others' opinions about them even though they're quick to offer their own opinions about me.

In Quad's opinion, I am a fence rider. Let me make myself and my intent for Quad and Mariah's issues very clear. The ONLY thing I ever wanted for them was peace and friendship. If we couldn't have that, I wanted civility for the entire cast! Every lady on this show was a vital part of it. In my angriest moments this Season, I could still be in Toya's presence. Didn't want to talk to or sit near her but I never refused to attend an event because she was coming. Even after she tried to fight me at the Reunion, I continued to film with and was civil towards her. Hint: it’s called being mature.  In real life, you must be cordial to your co-workers even when you don’t like them.

Let me also make this point: anyone who thinks in her head she is more important, more revelant or better than anyone else on this show has the game all twisted and played wrong. It has truly been the combination of many factors and faces that contribute to the success of this show.

The biggest factor of them all is YOU, the fans. Without you willing to tune in each week at various times (and now different days) and share your thoughts and opinions on social media, it would not be possible to share Married to Medicine with the world. I thank you so much!

It was an interesting Season to say the least. I'm glad it's over and I'm curious about the future. Take care until . . .
