That is the most horrible thing. That you say you are designing a line of dresses and bathing suits and all you have really done is paid some underpaid hungry want to be designer money to make some clothes based on some vague ideas and pages of other people's work you pulled out from a magazine. This you think, is a good example to aspiring fashion designers watching Miami Social? This you think is a good example of how Miami works? This is how you lead by example? This is how you present the city to a national audience?
I mean, watching last night my jaw dropped. There is Katrina in what I swear was the worst dress I have ever seen (it looked like Lina got out her knives too and it looked like something Lina might wear to her secondary job) standing with a crumpled piece of paper in her hand with some BS speech and then she announces that she is actually not wearing a dress designed by Ariel (um, at his own show that she is announcing!) but by that of his lead designer. WHAT ??? WHAT ???? WHAT ????
This is what I mean by smoke and mirrors, if you aren’t paying attention to the details you get caught up in that clap track.
Michael you and Austin are the sexiest thing...Hot man and adorable dog... I love LOVE your smile and your personlity!!
Dear Michael, I love the level of your integrity and the fact that Ariel's offensive comments truly upset you..they speak volumes with regard to his belief system and who he is. You are so funny and down to earth and I will so miss your blogs after the finale. Take care and thanks for all your words of wisdom...you rock!!
Hi Michael,
I just want to tell you how much I absolutely adore you. I have a crazy schedule but every time I have found the chance to watch the show, you have literally made me laugh hysterically with your witty, sarcastic and utterly humorous remarks. If you are ever in the Charlotte, NC area for some strange reason, please look me up on Facebook or otherwise (Leyla Bahmanyar).
Take care...and you need not change a thing about you (hair or otherwise)!
Dude, I happen to agree with you on alot of things you said in tonight's episode. I really think Ariel is a sad soul. He would actually fit right in with gays up here in DC. He seems so much like the guys up here that is ridiculous and sad. I also feel the same way you do about dealing with other gays. I really don't think I fit. I love sports, I am not into the club or bar scene at all. I don't do pride or any of the other gay quote unquote cultural events. Instead, I do regular guy things and most of my friends are straight. I am not opposed to other doing it. I just feel like it is not for me. By the way, I am know I am too late but don't get anything done to your head. I think you look very sexy the way you are dude. Anyhow, I am looking forward to the season finale and thanks to the show I actually want to make a trip down to Miami. (mostly hoping to see you walking around somewhere) ;)
Just like Myley Cyrus and Max Azria for Wal-Mart... haha! Wonderful sharing Michael. You are awesome!
Michael, I love your humor, and how you like to keep it real. If I was a man, I would totally have a crush on you! I think I might already :) I hope you do find the right person to fall in love with!
Where can I find more of your writing?
Michael, i love the show, because as i have stated before i Love Miami. seeing shots of Lincoln Road and the restaurants makes me home- sick for this amazing city. can't wait for Christmas vacation, we are so there. about this episode. i was a little sad to hear you say several times that you are having a Michael melt down. you come across as a very smart, funny, well educated, attractive and mature individual. yet, you still seem insecure. i wonder if it's from a hurtful relationship in the past. i think if you stop wanting so badly to find a significant other, it will just happen. i truly believe that, because i know this from personal experience. i wish you all the best. can't believe that it's the season finally already and i really hope there will be a reunion, lost footage, and a next season of this guilty pleasure. bravo to Bravo!!! by the way i think you and Maria have a real great friendship and come off as truly genuine people. i was not crazy about her from the promos, but got to like her straight forward approach to life. i do not like people who bulls--t!!!
Michael, I like when you are fighting with Ariel. All your comments are funny. Btw, I have questions about the lasik, was it hurt? how did you feel when the doctor was working with your eyes? I'm going to miss this show T_T.
Michael, Michael, Michael!!! I enjoyed watching you on this week's episode and just read your delicious blog -- omg, I'm addicted to watching you on the show -- so sorry it didn't work out with Diego. I totally understood your aversion to the picture. If I were gay, I would have felt the same way. It was very telling how he spoke of his casual liaisons.
A Fan
Michael, You are absolutely my favorite person on this show....the ONLY reason I watch it. I love your honesty and even love your need to talk about "breakdowns"; love them!!! I hope you do well from this show and I look forward to next week's episode.
-Megan
I must say you are an amazing guy and I totally agree with you about Ariel. But, there's just something about him that makes me NOT want to hate him. As if he's a simpleton or something, really. About your hair, I think you should just shave it all off and rock the bald and sexy look. Why not? Okay...that's a little crazy. It's too bad that Diego turned out to be a bit of a weirdo. I hope you find love because you seem very compassionate and lovable and I think you deserve a man who will take care of you in all aspects of your wonderful existence! Never give up, babe. Missing the mark a thousand times, to me, is worth it in the pursuit of finding that one person who will captivate your heart forever. Lina and George appear to be a complete train wreck, God bless 'um! I hope George can see past the hot russian front that is Ms. Lina's persona and see how manipulative and damaging she is to his soul. My favorite straight man on the show, for sure is Hardy! How freaking hot is this guy! His work for Operation Smile was a complete turn on. Usually on these shows you see the women are all about the charities and here's this guy...doing big things. And his style is amazing. I need a man that can wear a suit like him. Delicious. Trixia is so lucky! On a final note, your girl Katrina is absolutely beautiful. Like, it should be a crime to look that good and be that awesome. I love her. I love the friendship the two of you appear to have. Good luck to you, Michael...and have a wonderful summer in Miami! I can't wait to see the finale! I'm addicted to these crazy Bravo reality shows, it's shameful but I'm loving it!! God Bless!
What happened to you the night of Hardy & Trixia's event? I am surprised you didn't mention the event in your blog. They HELPED a lot of people that night!
You make me want to visit Miami again. Ha
You come across very levelheaded...and collected.
Sanity seems to escape some people on the show, i.e. Arial, Lina...and occasionally Trixia (she can get a lil creepy sometimes).
It's super sad to see the show go. Do you think, or have you heard whether or not, you guys will get picked up for another season? [fingers crossed]
Well Michael my comment has nothing to do with Ariel, but about a something you said in yesterday episode about the pretentious atmosphere that surrounds certain circles in the gay community. If this whole reality show thing is for real & what it's said is not scripted then kudos to you for admitting how as a gay man it is difficult to relate to your own community. As gay man myself, I find it hard to relate to that type of circles as well. Some people call it "being embarass of my sexuality", and my answer is "I'm a proud gay man & loving it, but I just find it hard to relate to gay people which is why I keep my tight circle of straight folks. The back stabbing, jealousy, superficial, etc; all seems like little girls back in Junior High.
If you haven't find your ideal half remember this, "love is like a butterfly. The more you chase the more it eludes you, but if you lay down it comes and softly sits on your shoulder". You seem to be great dude and hopefully you find a person to whom you can prepare fabulous dishes ;) And if you found one already congrats and may he appreciates the beautiful essence you seem to have inside.
Michael, you make me smile every time you are in front of the cameras, you remind me so much of my brother. With him 1700 miles away it is nice to tune in and spend a little time with you each week. As far as Airhead Ariel, he is exactly the type that gives gay men a bad name...and he claims to be bi! What kills me is he seems to think he is unique!!!! Seriously?????? OMG finding gay men that act like him is like shooting fish in a barrel! You are a true asset and representative of the gay community. You have my utmost respect in the way you conduct yourself. And don't rush love, it will find you and I am hoping we will get to share in that moment with you. My brother and his husband have been together for 20 years now and it all started with me cheating at a game of strip poker then rushing off to a date and leaving them alone lol!
One more episode and the finale is here. I want to say that love Miami Social, can't wait for the new season. And Michael, I love u, u r great!!!When u stop looking love will come your way!!!!Love your pooddle!!!!Stay sweet!!! Take care
Hey Michael!! You are great on this show. I find it hard to believe that you have trouble finding a boyfriend. I like you the most on this show. You don't have to worry about your looks or anything, you are sexy as hell!! You take Ariel's talking very well, have to commend you. Wouldn't be able to keep my cool like you do. I hope you meet the guy you are searching for!! You truly deserve to find him!!
You go!!!! Don't do the hair thing. I think you look great just the way you are. i f i was 15 years younger I'd hit you up. Gables guy here...
Michael, you seem too straight to be gay! If you ever want to just have kids and be a daddy you are more than welcome to move in and help out with the kids and not be my husband! Quite honestly, if you were straight there would be hope for the women that still haven't met a good guy yet, because you are one! I am so jealous of any lucky man who gets you. Please continue being the voice of reason and sanity with a dose of humor on the show! You provide the entertainment!
Michael, your post about tonight's episode really let us know how you feel! Thanks! You said what everyone out here was thinking! Those comments from Ariel- wow. The one about the closets? Really?!? I try to right it off as his youth and lack of experience putting thoughts together in a meaningful and non-cruel way. But I'm running out of patience with him.
You're a blast to watch and I feel your frustration with the superficial men in the dating world. Believe me- they are everywhere. Keep your chin up and keep laughing, and you will be fine. Michael
Your comments on Ariel are right on. Does he have no filter???? As for you, there is someone really wonderful out there for you without a matching wardrobe!
Michael, I feel that you are a very talented and blessed indivisual! You are my favorite from the show because you keep it so real.. But.. How come you didnt attend Hardys charity ??
I totally agree with you about Ariel. He thinks his rude comments are cute and funny but they are very offensive. I'm really shocked that any of the cast hangs out with him. I think you are awesome and I really enjoy your relationship with Katrina. Keep staying true to you and you will find somebody who appreciates you.
Michael, I LOVE you. I'm a girl, sorry. I think you're so level headed and funny and I love the way you talk. And you seem honest. The only gay people I've seen on tv seem like they want to hook up immediately and are over the top queens. Why do gay men act like sluts all of the time? Apparently they don't, now that I've seen you. Who knew?
And you're right about Ariel...it's so obvious as a viewer.
Oh my gosh...I just saw the little scene of you with your camera and hair and panic attack. That was SO funny. I think your hair looks great. Keep it short and go with it. don't put in plugs!!! You look great.
Michael: I don't even know where to start. I can only say; "You make the show work!" You are upfront honest to the core. You don't pull any punches. You don't take any . You are adorably handsome! You are in fabulous shape. Leave your head alone! Its perfect! I am not into all of the reality shows because they are so over the top. You make me want to watch this show. I am from a small town in South Jersey but if I ever had the chance to come out to see Miami Social in action..Wow.. I'd probably faint seeing you and then I would have to EMT myself (cause I'm an EMT by night; banker by day).. Keep up the great work... :)
Micheal I hope you find true love. true love is hard to find in the gay scene today. If you are takings apps send me one I come down there alog and moving there soon.
Michael, I wish this season wasn't ending. You bring a lot of fun and humor to the show and you seem like a great guy with a lot to offer. You deserve to find love and maybe through the show someone will find you. Hope there is another season so us viewers can see what is up with you the future.
Of all of the people on this "ridiculous" show...lol...., I like you the most. I think your are fun and funny. I like the way you write and have a sense of decorum. Honestly, I would like you as a friend if you were to move to this part of the country and help me clean horse stalls and bale hay. Can you lift 80 lb bales? LOL.... I think not. LOL...
Have fun in Miami....We will sent food.
Michael, I just wanted to tell you how nice it is to finally see a gay man on tv who isn't depicted as self-absorbed, narcissistic, overly excentric, attention seeking gay man (like Ariel)..You are just a down to earth guy looking for love like many others, straight or gay, everyone is looking for the same thing. One obvious difference between yourself and Ariel are that you don't constantly have to prove yourself or who you are to anyone, and I totally admire that. People who need attention have very low self esteem, and the way he does it is distasteful and I feel portrays a very poor image of what a gay man is like. Don't stop keeping it real Michael, thanks for being yourself!
MICHAEL!!!! READ HERE!!!!!! Hope I got your attention ;-)
Hey I just quickly want to say, because I feel kind of stupid writing on here is that I totally agree with the whole not being able to relate with the gay scene. To be honest with you am only 21 years old and I find it kind of old already. I have never seen such a attractive guy like you & am pretty sure you would agree if I was able to add a picture of myself on here ;-) Anyways love the show especially since I grew up in Miami.
Oh yeah by the way I think Ariel should be allowed to say anything he wants a much as he wants. Maybe with all the talking he will loose the fat in his face Ha-Ha.
Honestly, I'd rather see a show just on you! You're so natural, witty and can poke fun at yourself. You're willing to show your vulnerabilities while the others always seem to have an excuse...to busy with their careers, too caught up in their crazy love stories, too tied to their ex's. You're real and honest & the only reason I watch this show!
I just don't understand how can someone like you is still available! LOL :) would love to have a conversation with you, hope to see you around sometime here in SOBE, congrats on the show
Love, Love, Love me some Michael.... Are you related to Andy Cohen?????? Your great and Im sure after this season you wont have any trouble finding true love...Maybe consider going outside of South Beach and meeting different people.
Michael, you just crack me up! I am a single mom living in Orlando and when I watch you, I actually laugh out loud! You will find true love! You have an aura, that people are drawn too. If I was a guy I would definitely take you out on a fabulous date. I am so glad to see you have old fashioned values and that you are not settling for anything less that than what you deserve. Believe me, I understand. I haven't dated anyone in over three years. Never compromise who you are for anyone. I wish I knew you, so I can give you a big hug! I love the fact that you had a sleepover with Maria! You just know how to embrace life. Just remember what you think about you bring about, so stop saying how lonely you are and start focusing on what you want versus what you don't want or have. It's the Law of Attraction! P.S. Do you have a FB account? Would love to be your friend. Big hugs and kisses Kimberly S.
You, sir, are just so fabulous. I've just read through your blogs and all the wonderful comments from viewers & fans. I echo their sentiments, wholeheartedly! It is a bit hard to believe you are single through the show's first season. I was hopeful there for a moment when Diego came on the scene, but, oh well. It's only a matter of time and, as others have said, when you least expect it. Thank you for being you; I absolutely adore your friendship with the girls, Maria & Katrina. Gay men & straight women...that story's as old as the hills! Stay fabulous and keep laughing. Muah!
You are authentic. Love you and Maria for "keepin it real." Thank you for giving it to Ariel in your blog. He is very offensive and conceited. And Lina she is wacked out...is George doing drugs doesn't he realize that she is likely working as a paid escort. He said she is like his drug...is he that desperate? Hardy comment to Sorah made a lot of sense to me.
Michael, i like you on the show you remind me so much of myslef in some ways and i love how you don't like Ariel, he thinks its all about him and he just put on that fashion just so people can tell him how good he done..lol but reall i love watching you on the show and if you are here in charlotte for some odd reason and i know its probably not going to happen but if so just look me up i think you would be cool to hang out with you are such a fun guy and i like your personality. So just keep being you and you will find some one but in the mean time just have fun!!!!
Eric
Michael, I am so excited it is the season finale! I can't wait for this show to end!!! Don't take me wrong, but I'm so hooked on Miami Social that I am not living my life so I can sit in front of the tv and watch you guys! Seriously! Quick question: why are all the good guys taken or GAY???
Your hot... bald or not! But most importantly you seem to have a good heart, and a kick ass personality. Guys like you can`t be single. Love will come soon. Way cheese but true

Michael, I think your just perfect the way you are after watching tonight's episode. Im glad you keep the dating style the way it should be. You can think about but not having to go thru it!!!lol..I would Date you in a quick second!!
