Hi guys. . .I swear I'll be back from my hiatus next week!

This episode opens with that "sex pit" of an apartment Martyn did for the glam Tamara Mellon -- it was gorgeous! And having all that outdoor space in Manhattan, what a luxury!! I'm a huge Marilyn Minter fan, so seeing the shoes/bags she did for Jimmy Choo was neat, and loved that Martyn made them accessories.

Poor Ireland! That job seems like a challenge and something tells me its only going to get worse. She's a trooper and uber-talented so I'm not worried.

I finally pop up with Mary shopping in my store. Where she basically calls me a hooker...for the record I WILL sell just about anything (Daisy and Nacho off limits!). When I first opened the shop I would get so attached to things and not want to sell them. . .that didn't last long (those pesky things called bills fixed that quick!) I love when other decorators come in to the shop, in fact all the MDD crew are clients. It's fun for me to see what they're working on and what they're looking for. And I'm always surprised with what people buy. When I'm on a buying trip, be it France, Italy, Belgium or Istanbul, I basically buy what I like, I have no real rhyme or reason. If its pretty, or unusual, or basically if it speaks to me, I buy it. So I end up with quite an assortment of things. Its very inspiring to see who buys what and where it all ends up.

I'm enjoying the fact that summer is here and spending as much time as I can at the beach. Next week heading to my cousins wedding in Charleston, South Carolina. Any recommendations?
