Another great episode for me! Helping my family sell our family home in Park City was great. I was very pleased with Julie as our realtor and my parents were happy that we sold the house shortly after listing it.
My favorite scene of the entire season thus far was Grandma Edith checking out Josh F's new listing, just to be snoopy. She tested the chair, the bed, the fridge, etc. She is hilarious and I am so grateful our world has such amazing personalities.
Josh Altman should treat himself to a course in diplomacy so he can learn the best ways to win friends and influence people. Diplomacy can pay big dividends and you, Madison, do it well.
Madison, you are the best. Handsome, smart, creative, and trustworthy. I think Josh set Heather up - I think he knew all along that the deal was going to be a co-listing with Heather (and you). And she was dumb enough to fall for it. She's pretty, but not smart, and lacking integrity. You'll be better off without her in the long run.
Madison: I think you are very knowledgeable regarding Malibu real-estate, although I do feel that you could be more assertive in some of your transactions. However, the way you handled Heather was abysmal; she did not betray you, YOU betrayed HER! There was absolutely no reason to sever your relationship in the manner that you did. Had she negotiated a deal with any broker other than Josh Altman, you would have been thrilled; you let your petty ego get in the way. Now that you have seen exactly how it all transpired, grow up and apologise.
Karma is a funny thing, isn't it? Look where she's working now!
I know this seems odd but bring back Chad and lola. He more interesting than Atman. Heather do you think you should have paid the same when all we saw you do is
Atman and your toes????
You are my favorite and have been all along. Also love Josh Flagg and of course, Grandma Edith. It was a treat to meet your family and see their gorgeous homes. As for Heather, well you dodged a bullet there. Unfortunately for her, Josh A is an "A" for another reason and now that Heather is no longer with you, we'll see how long her "relationship" lasts.
Watched you all on WWHL and it was obvious who was classy - who talks about how much they make??? Proud of you and Flagg!
Josh could have taken that listing all for himself. The owner knew and trusted him. However, he tried to open a door for Heather to crack the market. When it turned out to be a co-listing, he could have said no and taken it for himself, but he was gracious to share a commission with Heather and therefore YOU! I can imagine how surprised Heather was when you fired her over that. Even if it was a complex/tricky situation, you failed to even see the grey in it with a long time trusted employee.
You are fantastic Madison, loved your family's home in Park City. Your mom is sweet for sending cookies. I like your new assistant, at least now you want have someone you can't trust or that would back stab you. Josh A. he is the biggest fool and I would not have him sell or help me buy anything not even a push cart. Heather will find out soon he's not what she thinks he is. Josh F. he is nice and his grandmother is great, love her to. Madison, all the best to you
Madison I really like you but you need to let go of the animosity w/ Heather. When she got the listing w/ Josh a) she was really trying to get a listing to help you start making money and earning her keep. (you had been complaining about that on first episode). b) Josh was actually being very generous in letting you guys in on his deal (because he wants to help Heather succeed) so what was the problem?... YOU HAVE A POSSIBILITY OF MAKING MONEY. Heather would never of turned over any client information to Josh. She was loyal to you.. I think you owe her an apology.. i thought at first you owed Josh one but changed my mind when he said He got the house and the girl F%^& him...You dont owe him anything.. Karma has a way of making things right in life..His smart A@@ ways will catch up with him. Stay sweet, kind and honest and God will reward you! Oh and love your MOM.. She is beautiful....
ddbird2l no...Heather went into that meeting with Josh with the intent og just her getting the listing....
I'll be honest. I would never hire either Josh although I've learned from all of you. The pinkie ring says it all. That is a sad cliche, and Heather should point it out. I do think that Josh's bold moves can work in his favor, but the minute I detect that someone doesn't care about my current or future home is the minute I lose interest. Home is so important to us all - whether it is a cabin or chalet. The other Josh is savvy, but acks warmth and heart. He doesn't seem driven by humanity. He also doesn't walk his dog. And frankly, robes and slippers? He looks like he's ready for the boudoir most of the time. He seems driven by dollars and seems so entrenched in the easy life I don't believe he'd work for me.
Yes, I'd want a savvy business person but I also want someone who will work in my family's best interest. You seem to have more going for you in that department.
Also, re: Heather. Here's what I think. She made one of those bad moves she will see more clearly 5 years from now. I think she acted impetuously in an attempt to get her first sale. As an employee, she never should have co-listed with Josh given your dislike for each other. I also feel that Josh should have said, this isn't a good idea when the buyer wouldn't give her a separate property. It is a bad bad idea to let sound business practice be blinded by love/lust/or ambition. It's just a short fix. Her best move at this point would be to make a full apology to you without asking for her position back. She should own it and say I've learned from this. Try not to see her as all bad or all manipulative. She made a bad choice and doesn't have the 20/20 yet to appreciate it. But she will. Also, don't be a dick. Just direct if you should speak again. Don't talk to her when she is with Mr. Pinkie. But if you ever have coffee, just do some role playing where you set up a scenario in which roles are reversed.
