She Might Be Jenny From the Block, But J-Lo's Kids Are Growing Up in an 8-Acre Mansion in Bel Air

The estate is a long way from her humble Bronx roots.

Jennifer Lopez will have you know that she grew up as regular-gal Jenny in the Bronx... but her twin children Max and Emme have a whole other thing going.

The twins are growing up as the Fresh Prince and Princess of an eight-acre estate in Los Angeles' famous Bel Air enclave.

“We walked into this house, and I said, ‘This is where I want my kids to grow up,’” she told Vanity Fair of the mansion where she lives with beau Alex Rodriguez and their respective children. “You have to imagine your life, and what you want to be in it, and I imagined we would be very happy here no matter what.”

According to The Los Angeles Times, J-Lo purchased the property from actress Sela Ward in 2016 for $28 million. That's a major coup for Ward, who bought the home in 2006 for a mere $3.8 million before remodeling it. But it's also way shy of the $39.995 million asking price. People reported that J-Lo also recently sold a 6,000-square-foot New York penthouse for $27 million.

The Bel Air property has a 14,000 square foot main house with seven bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, and a 30-seat home theater, two guest cottages, and a 100-seat amphitheater.

Not bad for the kids of a regular mama from the block.
