FOR ONCE, A Realistic Seller
Nice, another SOLD in this crazy market! For me, this home was especially important, not only because my clients are such nice people with such good karma, but I felt very compassionate about alleviating their stress of carrying two mortgages. I’m so glad they took my advice in staging the home. It clearly made a visual and emotional difference and showed me that they really trust me as their agent. Malibu is an international destination and these buyers found this listing on my website, which is a testament to using great photography and technology to sell property. The negotiations on the episode were quite confusing, and yes, requesting a pool is utterly ridiculous. It just goes to show how aggressive the buyers think they can be.
While I was busy selling this property, Chad was busy with the VERY LARGE personality of Jack. In fact, that home is still on the market and I’m sure Chad is still “spending lots of money” to attempt to sell it. I was a prospect for this property and used it as a “pocket listing” (an informal agreement to represent the seller) to gauge the motivation of the seller and to decide whether or not we would be a good fit to work together. After a few weeks, I decided it was not the best business decision to pursue a formal listing agreement. And a wise one it was!
I’m sure I’m not the only one that wants Josh’s grandmother’s autograph. She is quite possibly one of the most entertaining women I have seen. I love her!
