Chad Rogers gives the scoop on working with Cuttino Mobley.
I can always depend on Victoria for her love and support. But in episode four, I definitely tested our relationship. Victoria came to Vegas with me because I had to be there for work. I thought it would be a good idea to have a little vacation with her while we were in town. They say you should never mix business with pleasure, right? So true.
The first night we were there, we ended up gambling at the Palms hotel. I was losing my game. I should have stopped, but I wanted to challenge my losing streak. I was anxious -- I had asked Victoria to move in with me, but she still had not given me an answer. She was taking her time making her decision and I was letting fear get the best of me. Even thought I was losing and I should have quit, I just kept on gambling. It was a huge mistake on my part, because Victoria got upset with me in a major way. I'm the type of person that doesn't take no for an answer, and I told her that she had to move in with me when we got back from Vegas.
Victoria blew up at me and told me that no one tells her what to do. She was 100% right, and justifiably angry. I should have just let it go, taken her advice and stopped gambling for the night.
To make matters worse, I had arranged to meet Cuttino Mobley in Vegas to look at several leases. I heard at the last minute that Lauren, Cuttino's assistant, was going to fly up to Vegas instead of Cuttino to preview the leases I had arranged for him to see. The vacation was really turning into a nightmare. First Victoria and I got into a major argument and then Lauren notifies me that she was coming to Vegas instead of Cuttino. I wasn't even making a commission on any lease I found for Cuttino, because I couldn't use my real estate license in Nevada. I was just doing him a favor, which is sometimes what you have to do to keep a client happy.
I like Lauren, but I know how intense she can be and I was hoping that the day would go smoothly. Victoria and I picked up Lauren in the limo that I had originally planned for Cuttino. Not only did Lauren rip on the two houses that I showed her, but she yelled at the limo driver! The trip was turning out to be a real disaster. Even though she was holding in her emotions, I could tell that Victoria was really upset with the entire situation. All I wanted to do was wake up from this Vegas nightmare. Talk about reality! I was afraid that I was going to lose both Victoria and Cuttino's listing in Beverly Hills, which made me feel vulnerable, and that's something I don't like. You know the saying, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?" Well I have news for you, what happens in Vegas didn't stay there - my mistakes and bad luck followed me all the way back to L.A. I had no idea if Victoria was going to break up with me. I don't know what I would do if I lost her. I felt like my world was caving in. I was happy to get the listing from Cuttino, but it didn't compare with the cost of losing Victoria.
