OK, so this is not my favorite episode, and it is only the second one. I am at a loss for words, and with a little help from the editors, I look really sheepish in scene. Yes, I could not figure this client out. Maybe it was a cultural thing, but seriously... I didn't feel very comfortable watching myself in this episode.
The buyers/sellers this season almost seem unreal. Even Ruth, Josh's adorable older client, is animated and spunky. LA really is the land of fruits and nuts and eternal sunshine. What does everyone else think?
Thank you all again for tuning in and all of your comments. I love reading them. If you would like a quicker response try me on twitter @MadisonMalibu.
So far it is a lot of real estate drama, but soon there will be real drama. See you next week!
Oh, Madison - You're too nice a guy. I still can't believe that douche complaining about not getting the car with the house. Maybe next week we'll see him throw a tantrum and hold his breath. Well...you might have stepped in it... but, the sooner you scrape 'em off, the sooner the stench will go away.
I like seeing what look will cross your face or what will come out of your mouth inappropriately. And its even better without Chad. Excuse me, the mere mention made me vomit in my mouth a lil'. See ya next week.
I'm sorry but this buyer seemed like a total douche. You poor thing! You handled him with a lot of patience.
That client, Ismir was a hard client to deal with I could tell and you handled it about the best you could. He really shouldn't have pushed including the car in the purchase price and to be there at the meeting with the seller's agent as that was really uncomfortable for you. My wife and I are glad you all are back on and enjoy the show alot. Take care.

I feel for you on this one. It's definitely a cultural thing and I honestly have to hand it to you for being so accomodating. I am pretty sure I would have told him there is no way your are going with me on the negotiation. This guy is totally taking advantage of your "kindness"
Can't wait to see if you pull off the sale and if the owner throws in the car. If I were the owner I'd tell him to get his own damn car (I know the market is tough but geeze)
I don't blame you for being totally uncomfortable, that guy was douche bag! The only thing he got right was that he knew he needed to have a fancy house and car-the "lifestyle" as he called it-in order to get any "action." If he's that demanding and rude to you, someone he just met, I can just imagine what he'd be like in a relationship. Eww, you don't need him.
Hi Madison, I would disagree with you - you were so nice. But your client, Esmel, or whatever his name was. What a freak....I could not even look at him, he is so negative and disgusting. It is always a pleasure to watch you! All the best!
Well all I can say is that Ismir character best get himself something 'extraordinary' because that's the only reason SOME women would give him a 'glance' let alone anything 'goin on in the 'dynamic' bedroom he wants..he's a Loser with a Capital L..
As for your 'new' home..simply LOVE IT...can surely understand where your coming from..just 'living on the water' would make any day a BETTER one...I'll never have the finances to be able to do that..but am happy for YOU that it is possible for you to finally get the place you've always wanted..ENJOY..
Hi Madison, I love the show, one of the home you show the client had some cool floatable pool chair do you know where they got them.
This buyer is a wana be. He wants all that for $2m and a car. He will as we all know need to come up at least another $2m to come close to getting what he want;s. When it comes to Josh A please please please do not come DOWN to his level.
When I sold my home I wanted to meet the potential buyer and rec'd a resounding "NO" from my realtors which I resented, of course. I did not have faith in my realtor, and felt strongly that the process could be streamlined had I been dealing with the buyer one on one. That said, I just watched my first episode of MDL and almost fell over when Ismar demanded to be present in negotiations. Talk about losing a deal…..he is horrible! I am in sales; the man is difficult, uncooperative, has an attitude that is close to abusive- certainly condescending...talk about screwing things up! He is lucky you took the listing considering his initial approach to you which was rude, dismissive and insulting. I know we do not see every aspect of what happens in a true Real Estate transaction, but based on the show, you are working with very little “hard” data re: what he wants.
You are doing a great job and he is not doing you a favor. Period.
Lk forward to the next episode! CMR
It's so much fun to watch you on your journey of acceptance of yourself! I hope you are still enjoying your beach front home. I'll take Ismir any day if you repeat, "panty-dropper!"
Madison, Madison, Madison.... OMG!!! The guy was ridiculous! Wow, people act like that ??? and when he mentioned he wanted to spend $2 million???!!! I was like, all that drama and attitude for $2 million? OH HELL NO!!! LOL!!!:) You handled yourself great Madison, patient and very professional. See ya next week,xoxo...
Your client was much worse then what everyone is referring to him as. He's a good example of what's wrong with so many people. Someone like him shouldn't have a dime to his name or be fortunate enough to be in this country. He's sure to make many Americans want to keep our boarders closed. Hopefully, he'll end up with the only type of woman that would want him -- the kind he can buy...a whore. As a side note, Bravo doesn't have to resort to giving complete trash air-time. It's beneath them or maybe not...
Beware of Russian thugs in suits, Madison. They're ruthless and will try to get revenge if you don't make them happy. Pick your clients carefully.
Hi Madison, You can count me as one of your many, many fans. It's enjoyable to watch you on the show because you're so great looking (obviously), and you come across as an honest, no-BS kind of guy. You're proof that catfights between individuals are NOT necessary for a hit Bravo show. Thanks for being part of the cast!
HI MADISON, IT APPEARS THAT THE ENTIRE EPISODE WAS STAGED FOR ENTERTAINMENT. THE CLIENT WAS NOT RUSSIAN [ I STUDY LINQUISTICS ]. PLEASE MAKE UP YOUR MIND ABOUT WHAT GENDER YOU ARE DRAWN TO, NOTHING WORSE THAN A WISHY WASHY MAN/WOMAN.
I can't understand how all of these people throw themselves at your feet. Does anyone like you for 'you''?? You seem very uplifting to be around, and have a great positive spirit. Some people seem to always think it is just about looks. I think you may be added to my 'celebrity- I- would- love- to- have- dinner- with' list. Lol.
Drop me a line if you ever get a minute...
Madison - You didn't appear sheepish, on the contrary, you were very patient, accomodating and professional with Ismir. I vanted to slap him upside his rude and quite ugly head. The only panty dropping he will get will be the kind he pays for. He said he vanted the "lifestyle"? The poor guy thinks getting that car will do it for him? Draaeeeming. After hearing "I am businessman, I make deals....I don't care" for the third time I had to hit the mute button on my remote.... mute the mutant! hehehe You are fun to watch, you make me laugh with your comments. Take care
You are just so sweet and mild-mannered. You are proof that you don't need to be catty and ruthless to be successful! Being gorgeous doesn't hurt either!! Love the show!
Last few seasons you annoyed me with your on and off aloofness together simply denying your sexual orientation (at least based on watching you on camera)- but truly you have grown on me. You are more direct, professional and aggressive on behalf of your clients.
This Bosnian or Russian is a huge douche-bag who, if he came into money on his own, proves that there exists no god. He thinks everything has a price, yet anyone with class, culture and sophistication knows just the opposite is true. Sometimes, clients should NOT to be clients - so I am glad you disposed of him. Good for you. It would have been a great show if Flagg's grandmother gave Ismir a giant smack-down and some advice.
I like you.
Love the show, love Madison the most. You are the most honest. Use to live in California and now NY but still love to see that Calif. weather and coast. My husband and I both enjoy the show. Keep selling those houses!!!!
Madison, you are the star of this show. I love watching every scene you are in, and would be so proud of you if you were my son. You handled Ismir with such impeccable manners and grace, which only showed what a lack of class he has. Class is not about money; its about consideration for others. Ismir has zero class. He is one mean dude, and when he wanted that house for his future action, it made me cringe as I wondered what kind of poor souls would be at his mercy in that house. I just hope someone gives him what he deserves.
Loved the show and kudos to you for finding the perfect fit so fast for that obnoxious client, Ismir (?), even if he was too cheap to grab it and too dumb to realize that, yes, sometimes almost anything can be bought, but, hello???, the other side of that equation is IF you offer enough money to make it irresistible. He wanted the car, which was, indeed, deeeevine (a vintage Cobra?), but cars that fine are rarely parted with easily and certainly not "thrown in," like "Oh, and could we include the patio furniture?" Then he has the audacity to have a hissy fit, like a spoiled brat, and guilt-trip you because the owner didn't go for it and you didn't get all adversarial and go to bat for him... which would have been soooo inappropriate, given what a ludicrous offer it was, and possibly, no probably, ruined your reputation as a credible, decent broker to work with. Watching you navigate that whole treacherous toxic tidal wave and let it wash over you and just move on to more positive things was like a life lesson and so refreshing and reaffirming that you can swim with sharks and survive by just not engaging. Whew! Back to Sunny Malibu and I wish you much happiness and success... You deserve it!
Madison You are my favorite! Loved you in this episode too,,,,just be who you are and you will be blessed with a successful life, sexuality does not matter and you do not owe anyone an explanation, you are beautiful inside and out, why cant people appeciate others for who they are, I say live and let live. Take care Madison!!! deb
Love you Madison,,,,In the episode with Ismar you cracked me up,,,sitting in that big chair like you were in time out!!! LOL,,,,you are my favorite,,,If I had eight million I would call you to find me ahouse in a second,,,,never know! Let me go buy that lottery ticket!! Deb
I couldn't believe the gaul of this Russian man. Not only did he want the house at a discount fully furnished. The car is probably worth an extra $150-200k. Then he wouldn't come up an extra $100k for the party house he wanted? I thought this guy was suppose to be a multimillionaire business man. I vant house, I vant car. Tell dem to take clothes and leve everythng else.
I watched this episode again this morning. It got my blood boiling again. I'd like to have that lifestyle as well. The guy was a Jerk. I think it showed more patience on your part than many would have had. Good for you. Business is business - A-holes are A-holes.
Our whole family likes you personalty. You are epitome of gentleness and class. Love your gold watch, could you please share the brand name and type. Please reply
Madison, I am watching this episode again and I have to agree with some of the comments above. I guess in Ishmir's country this is how things work but in America, people are free to decide that they don't want to sell something. Madison, you were polite, honest, and did your best for Ishmir. He was lucky to have you as his broker. I think you are fabulous and love watching you. You have the best personality and are a great broker!
With a guy like Ishmir I would have been a bit more aggressive with him. I've dealt with a lot of different cultures and at least from what was shown on tv he was looking for Madison to say "you take this house now at 2,300,000, it's a good price." Madison mentioned that there wouldn't have been a problem with a full price offer but they had already negotiated down $200K. I wouldn't have brought the guy with me for the offer but it sure made for a good tv drama. BTW not sure if he is russian. Isn't Ismir a turkish name?
