Episode 9: Closing Time
Bidding adieu to our gentle agents.
Mar 30, 2011Gosh, season four is over. This feels like the end of sleepaway camp, except with less super-rushed making out, and fewer circles of girls chanting dirges and sobbing. Obviously I’m sobbing a lot, just not in a circle while telling people I’m going to write to them when secretly I know that I will not.
Our lil’ agents have dealt with a lot this season. They’ve had stretches where it looked like they would only be able to lease things ever again. They’ve had scary clients who made their humble recapper cry and scream with terror. They’ve had some major, non-Chad-related drama with each other—a new experience for all. I’m proud of you, fellas.
Great, now I’m sobbing again. Let’s get to work here.

So, the biggest part of the finale? It’s got to be the Madison-Heather drama. And that it ends in a cliffhanger! I thought the episode was going to end with either Heather talking about how she had to take her talents to West Hollywood, or with Madison leading her outside the office and saying, “Look at the Coldwell Banker building,” and there’s a gigantic red bow around it. But instead, Altman shows up at the office and takes her away on vacation. “Is this the last time I’m ever going to see you?” Madison asks. Eeeek.
Over the course of this episode, Madison ends up looking way more reasonable than he has in the last two. There’s still something a little cringey in the way he keeps saying that Altman “planted the seeds” of this idea in her head. But Madison brings up a really gigantically important point: expanding a business is a major decision, especially now, especially with a real estate business. Maybe it is sort of a huge thing to ask for, even if you have been a great assistant for two years. Somehow I hadn’t thought of that until right now.
In non-Heather news, he once again gets stuck with an “odder” client than most. The last owner died in the house, and this new client is scared that his ghost is still around, so she brings her psychic along. Luckily, she’s like the perfect psychic for real estate agents. As soon as Madison says that he saw the dead spirit flying away, she’s like, “yep, exactly, he’s gone, it’s safe to buy now.” Then she goes even farther and says that, actually, he’s not entirely gone yet, but he will be gone as soon as the house has been sold and gone through escrow.

Some tips onfinding a buyer for this 1.8 million dollar beach home in Virginia wouldbe nice its a wonderful house that northern buyers would love because it has a basement
why isn't this show on more often?? I love the fact that there is not the same fighting that occurs amongst all the housewives; honestly, that's getting old!! Yawn!! A little "competition" amongst the characters makes for interesting tv, but not at the extent shown elsewhere......
Please tell me when the new season of Million Dollar Listing begins. I absolutely LOVE that show, and can't wait for the next season to begin.
I miss Chad. the show is not the same without Chad. I want to know how is Chad's relationship with Victoria, how is their new home and I miss Starla also.
I can't believe the season is over all ready. I kept waiting for more episodes to come on. I love the show! It is amazing to see that type of real estate and the clients that go along with it. Much different than the market here.
Although still a good show - I am not the first to admit that Million Dollar Listing lost a good deal of it appeal without the grand scale antics of Chad verses Josh. These two sharp and funny agents along with there constant dislike of each other is really in my opinion what made the show in the first place. The two of them were such huge personalities. It was a shame that MDL lost Chad for whatever the reasons were. Josh held on but did not have the same power to his story line without the ever present disputes with Chad. Perhaps these two real estate giants/actors need another ride together on the Bravo merry go round.
I miss the old Million Dollar Listing in L.A. And I miss Chad. Loved the show with Chad, Josh and Madison. I watched the first MDL NY and did not care for it at all.
I really have enjoyed watching these guys. I also like Fredrik , Ryan, and Michael. That they live well, dress well, and the talent to make their own money makes them more interesting than most all of the supposed "housewives". With the exception of Lisa and Bethany, none of these women house or cook a lick...or work , either. What most of Bravo's viewers enjoy in these programs I think, is an "inside look" at over-the-top luxury and privilege that most of us do not enjoy.When a cast member really has no means to live a socialite style of living, it becomes pretty obvious---like the RHOA and the OC women---they don't have real money, or have social connections
