7 Bravoleb Pet Dads Who Are Basically Living for Their Fur Babies

All hail Dog Dads, the sexiest pops on the block!

By Kristyn Pomranz

Hey, it’s that time of year again! You know what that means: Stale jokes about how every day is Father’s Day because they don’t do any of the work! HAR HAR! FUNNY STUFF!

How about this ... Instead of writing another think piece about how ties are a bad gift idea, let’s instead celebrate the best dads of all: Pet dads! While some of the Bravolebs on our list are also fathers to human children, we here at Unleashed are choosing to celebrate them this Father’s Day for their devotion to their equally-important fur babies.

Andy Cohen: Dog dad to Wacha

Yes, our beloved Andrew is a patriarch to all of Bravo TV, but his most important father role is to that of his rescue beagle, Wacha. In his memoir, Andy wrote, “I knew when I rescued Wacha I was saving him, but didn’t know just how much he’d be saving me. He’s completely enriched my life and helped me give back in ways I didn’t think possible.” Indeed. Since adopting Wacha, Andy has become a vocal advocate for animal rights and the #AdoptDontShop movement.

Jeff Lewis: Dog dad to Oliver and Little Chris; cat dad to Patrick and Carver

America’s most well-known house flipper is also one of America’s most well-known animal lovers. (So much so, that we’ve actually pleaded for him to adopt us.) Jeff’s pets — all rescues — live the ultimate lives, not  because they’re surrounded by opulence and Zoila (which they are), but because of how deeply devoted Jeff is to them. Their frequent appearances on Jeff’s social media make it clear that they are by his side nearly all the time, fancy houses or situations be damned.

Tom Colicchio: Dog dad to Piper

Bravo's Top Chef’s top chef Tom Colicchio is not especially active on social media, but when he does use his Instagram, he posts photos of only four types of things: Food, food, food, and his dog, Piper. Aside from his illustrious career, Piper is clearly the most important thing in his life. So when will he pull a Kameron Westcott and start his own line of dog food?!

Mike Shouhed: Dog dad to Lexi, Dowjer, and Lincoln

My best friend of 14 + years strong!! #Pitbull

Listen, we love Mike Shouhed as much as the next Bravo enthusiast, but few would say that the Shahs of Sunset divorcé is great with commitment. And yet, he is an extremely devout dog dad, going so far as to cite his pups as two of his “5 Things the Shahs Can’t Live Without.” While his two younger dogs are French Bulldogs, Dowjer is an American Staffshire Terrier — also known as a type of pit bull, a much-maligned breed which Mike has advocated for.

Adam Glick: Dog dad to Tex

He’s one of the more recent dog dads on our list, but Below Deck Mediterranean chef Adam Glick has really taken to the role. Just a couple months ago, a stray blue heeler trotted up to Adam’s van door in “the middle of nowhere, Texas” and immediately knew it was destiny. “I decided to spend the night there, leave him outside the van and wait, to see if he would stay. When I woke up the next morning he was sleeping under my van. I had no choice but to keep him. And I needed him in my life so we were truly destined and attached immediately. We have a bond.”

Fredrik Eklund: Dog dad to Fritzi and Mini

Practicing... 😉👨👨👧👦

A post shared by Fredrik Eklund (@fredrikeklundny) on

The Million Dollar Listing New York broker has made a name for himself as the top-selling real estate agent in the biz. But for all of his big sales, he has an even bigger heart for his dachshunds, Fritzi and Mini. The pups travel all over the world with Fredrik and his husband Derek — and they have their own special rooms in all of their estates (natch). He once told Unleashed, “My dogs give me more joy than any human being in the world.”

Cameran Eubanks’ husband Jason Wimberly: Self-adopted dog dad to Elvis, his neighbor’s pup

Okay, while this relationship isn’t technically true fatherhood, we daresay that only makes the devotion all the more impressive. The never-filmed-but-frequently-Instagrammed husband of Southern Charm’s Cameran Eubanks has taken in his neighbor’s dog Elvis as his very own, going so far as to have a t-shirt printed with the pup’s face, and keeping a framed photo of the dog next to his flesh-and-blood human daughter, Palmer.
