I was glad that this episode starts off with Courtney and Neill spending time together. They are both such strong, beautiful, talented women, and I know neither of them want or have time for added frustrations to their already busy lives. Major is the greatest. I can't wait for the day he starts throwing a football around. Despite what some may think, I am a very loving and sincere guy when it comes to the youth. In fact my foundation www.TheLeadershipFoundation.org is solely devoted to inspiring the youth to be great leaders and providing them with those opportunities.
Just when I thought I have Court all figured out, she throws another curve ball. She signs Glenn and me up for a date auction without even asking. This is not something I would ever subject myself to…but it's hard not to do so when it's for charity. This cause is one that is very dear to my heart. Going into the auction I was uncomfortable, and then once I was there, it became even worse. It's just not in me to sell myself. I'm a sales guy, and I'm just more used to selling other things. I went into this knowing not much effort was going to happen. I work very hard in my faith and business…ripping a shirt off doesn't fit my particular personality. I don't think there is anything wrong with it however. Glenn did an amazing job raising money for the cause and the fact the Drew picked it up was perfect. The best thing that came out of this was that we all had fun together no matter what the circumstance.
My evening with M.J. was interesting. She is clearly a beautiful woman and about as sweet as it gets. These are my favorite types of nights out now as I get older. I would much rather sit somewhere quiet over dinner or wine and have conversation. Here we get the chance to talk in depth about where we are in life, what we want, and how our minds work. This doesn't happen when you're in a bar or club. It was evident that she was looking and ready for something more serious, and the easy thing to do would be to go along with that. But I pride myself in being honest and open. I wasn't shy about sharing the place I am in life right now -– I'm 28 and just starting to figure out who I am as a man. We both respect each other and went our separate ways.
My favorite part of this episode is without question the end. I don't know how many times that same thing has happened before actually. Because Court and I are both single, it's comforting to fall asleep on the phone together…well not fully asleep, a "goodnight" works much better than a snore. She and I have a special bond that I don't know how to describe to others. In life, sometimes words cannot describe situations, feelings, or things we are thinking. As long as you're genuine with your heart and actions, you don't need words. Just live and enjoy what God gives us.
