Oh, Grace Kelly

Episode 6: Bravotv.com's Assistant Editor is a big fan of dogs in jewelry.

There were fights, kisses, and plenty of curse words thrown around this week, but to be honest all of it pales in comparison to Grace Kelly. No, not the famous Hollywood star, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel draped in enormous pearls that has stolen my heart (more on this later). But in addition to all the doggie elegance, there were still many dating lessons to be learned.

DON'T: Make the girl drive to you

Tara's got a lot of rules about dating involving cars. If you don't open the door for her, she may just turn around and go back inside. And now we learn that the man should always, always pick up the girl for a date. Tara (along with Courtney) was none too pleased that Jody made her drive to him for their date. Uh-oh, has Jody now negated the points he earned for shaving that soul patch?

And according to Drew and Daylon, when it comes to gay men, whoever has the nicer car picks up the other person. What they don't address though is what to do when both parties have equally hot wheels. My vote would be to settle it with a good old-fashioned thumb-wrestling match. Or a head-to-head karaoke battle royale.

DON'T: Stay friends with your exes

Well, there were some differing opinions on this one from Drew and Courtney. Courtney thinks absolutely not and Drew thinks in certain situations it's OK. Drew does have a point that it seems to work for Glenn and his ex, but Courtney's vehement denial that this is a good idea tells me she's speaking from some serious personal experience. I think we'll have to watch how things play out for Glenn before giving a definitive answer on this one.

DON'T: Wave your finger around like Christina Aguilera

While I think this is perfectly fine if it's done in good fun, when Drew starts going after Courtney things got way too heated. Never underestimate the power of a pointed finger. It's a serious business, not to be taken lightly. Clearly he was overpowered by the power of the finger wave when he said those terrible things to Courtney.

DO: Laugh things off

Courtney has a knack for defusing an uncomfortable situation. After the fight and subsequent make up with Drew, she wisely suggests they learn to just be honest and laugh at each other. Like if Drew doesn't think she looks good, he should just call her Seabiscuit. Oh, Courtney, you truly have a gift for lightening the mood.

DO: Give your dogs a Pretty Woman moment

I probably could have watched Tara and her friend play dress up with their pooches for the entire episode. It was kind of like a live action Best in Show. From Tara saying she wanted to give her dog, Shaniqua, a Pretty Woman moment by dressing her up in jewels to Shaniqua subsequently bumbling around in that enormous necklace/collar, it was a sheer delight.

However the star of the show was obviously Grace Kelly and the dulcet cooings of her owner. When she donned that string of giant pearls with the lavender ribbon, a well-deserved hush descended upon the room followed by an unbridled outpouring of praise. However we do learn the important lesson that lavender washes everyone out -- even dogs.

DON'T: Go on a double date with your best friend

I mean, I couldn't think of a worse idea than a Matt and Courtney double date. There was no way this was going to go smoothly. It was hard to watch the incredibly over-the-top peacocking Matt engaged in with Mark, yet it was impossible not to. I felt for Courtney in that moment. There's nothing worse than when you bring a new friend or significant other to meet your friends and they make a really bad impression. You never want to be in that "I swear, he's normally great!" situation.

DO: Call Glenn the G-Pak

Between the Pakulak Cadillac and G-Pak, Glenn officially wins the award for best nicknames.

Next week it looks like Courtney and Matt might be taking their relationship to the next level.

Achy Breaky Heart

Drew shares his struggle to get over Cody.

I want to get all the negative stuff out of the way first. I made some very big mistakes with Cody. I have thought about what I did wrong for a long time, and I have to live with the pain. I really screwed up with Cody. The pain hurt my heart for months. I really do love him. No matter what happens in life, I will always have a place in my heart for him. It seems like in my life every time I get into a relationship that might work out, it just falls apart.

After Cody broke my heart you all saw me cry. I have never cried over a man like that before ever in my life. I was hurting so badly after Cody left the restaurant. I didn't know what to do, but I was so grateful that Tara and Daylon were there for me. They rushed over to me at the last minute. Seriously, I don't know what I would do without them. During the next couple of hours I was a mess. Tara was a complete saint. She called everyday to check on me. She knew I was hurt and even made sure I was eating. For the next couple of months it was really hard for me to get back into dating. It really felt like an incredible mountain to climb. As for me trying to sell Daylon a car, what can I say, I'm workaholic. It's in my Ginsburg genes. I never stop working and it's actually very hard for me to go on a vacation. To truly relax I have to get far, far away from Dallas.

As for me, I can tell you now I'm feeling better. I saw Cody for the first time in September and I'm actually dating again.

Tara and Jody… I never thought a gas station would serve fine food. I still wonder if there was graffiti on the bathroom walls. That lovely dinner at Chez Pump and Go was nice touch.

I'm appalled at Jody! How dare any person deceive someone, especially my Tara. Shame on you for still being married. You told her you loved her and she loved you. What the hell? How could you not tell Tara you're still married? How dare you try to turn Tara into a mistress. Tara, I really feel for you. I actually thought he was good guy. But the silver lining is that his ugly side has been exposed. What can I say, the Matt and Courtney kiss has finally happened. Finally! It was interesting to see Matt put so much time and effort into this trip. In all honesty, when I'm traveling with a friend I don't put a lot of time into planning. I usually press a button. But I have to give Matt a lot of credit for putting this together. Matt showed his sweet side instead of his player side. He even got Courtney a room of her own. I only hope Matt treats Courtney with the respect she deserves.

On a final note, I hope you everyone enjoyed the first season of Most Eligible Dallas. I hope everyone has enjoyed the show. Remember to follow me on Twitter @drewginsburg and on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/drewkginsburg.
