Tara shares her thoughts on the dinner suprise and dishes on the Jody situation.

on Oct 17, 20110

Well this is it! What a crazy, wonderful experience it's been. So many people from across the country have reached out to me with their rescue stories, and I couldn't be happier. That has truly been the highlight of Most Eligible Dallas for me.

So here are my thoughts about this season's finale.

Ah, nothing spells romance like a beautiful gas station dinner, complete with the subtle mood lighting and constant buzzing noise from the neon Bud Light sign…ugh. After seeing my horrified expressions, you could probably guess that I'm not exactly accustomed to spending my Saturday nights in gas station.  Now, if we're "road-tripping" it, then I'm all in because I'd be in jeans and a baseball cap and dressed for the occasion…but not date night, come on!
Am I high maintenance?  Maybe a little, but I don't think I was out of line. I never would have imagined having a real date in the same place where I could fill up the tank and get a flat fixed.  Note to future boyfriends: please no surprises without telling me the proper dress code!

Now we can all let out a collective sigh…Matt and Courtney. Finally! All I can say is what took so long? I am so happy they finally took the first step toward a relationship. And how amazing was that kiss?  I have to admit, I may have done a little happy dance when I saw it. I love them both so much and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

that comment about asparagus, would have killed me too! OMG! someone can instantly become unattractive if they say that! Thank God! that he said this on your first and only date. Imagine how gross it would have been, after you became intimate with him, it would have been so much worse! Thank you for rescueing the animals. I do the same in South FLorida and it a heartbreaking experience.

Hello Tara, want to thank u so much for looking after all the animal's, I feel so sorry for the one's that don't, there is a mommy cat a few housees above me, and the owner's does not take care of it and it is going to have babies anytime, so I ask them if I could keep her until she has the babies, I wanted to bring her in let her lay in front of the fire pls. in a cozy bed and feed her at least 3 to 4 times aday to give her the strenth she is going to need for the birth.they make her stay out half of the time, and it is 20 degree's her in W.VA but everyone else is telling me not to get involved, but I am like u I will go right up there and steal her out of the yard and hide her if I have to, till the babies get here. what do u think please give me a answere if u read this ok...Sandra

I was very impressed w/Tara's efforts to help animals that had been abused. I would love to get in touch w/her, as it has recently come to my attention that a @ 1 year old Lab-mix named Roxy was rescued from a situation much like the one in the episode where she & Drew rescued the dog. Her name is Roxy & she weighs appox. 20 lbs. The lady who rescued her had reached out to my church, The Cathedral of Light, that she found this dog that had been tied to a tree for a long time & undernourished. This lady's name is Sheila & Tara can get the information, if interested at my e-mail lkmena@yahoo.com.

I am not exactly sure what you saw in that man...he was not my type but certainly for you there had to be some redeeming quality. To my eye he looked too slick and slimy and did not seem to quite be a match to your background or class. Unfortunately I am not at all surprised about his relationship status. He seemed (to me) to be just the kind of guy to be hiding some kids or a wife. Advice given to me by a good friend "Date within your species...you will be happier".

She was right.

As Patti Stanger would say, my dear, your picker is way off. For some reason, you underestimate yourself in your choices with the opposite gender. Do some soul searching, you are beautiful inside and out and deserve so much more for a companion/spouse!

Hi there my fellow Texan! I think you are a woman of beauty inside and out! Thank you for representing Texas well. We struggle with the same issues as with your charity here in East Texas. We are in need of an animal shelter and have no support for the numerous strays in our area! Thank you for your recognition of the problem and keep up the good work!

You shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. I'm sure you wouldn't want people judging you based on looks or 4 engagements, so it probably isn't fair to judge a restaurant by it's looks. Yes it is in a gas station and that is what gives it charm. 5 star restaurants are a dime a dozen in Dallas and Ft. Worth. But having a 5 star restaurant in a gas station instead of being in a stuffy fancy place is unique. The food is what makes people drive for miles to wait in line for over 2 hours. It has been featured on CNN, New York TImes, Paula Dean magazine and endorsed by Guy of Diners, Drive ins and Dives. I've eaten in many fancy elegant restaurants that fell short on the food. I hope people aren't as quick to pass judgement on you and your charity but rather take time to find out for themselves. Maybe then you could do the same. I guess, though, it gives you more to post if you put down the gas station restaurant. Take a look at Facebook.com/chefpointfans to learn more about what their fans say.

Oh for the love of dogs, Miz Tara! Why are you attracted to these old, FUGLY, lying jerks? You have the world on a plate and deserve a man who COMPLIMENTS you! As Patti Stanger would say: "Your picker is off!" Courtney just KNEW something was off with Jody; your true friends can ALWAYS see what you can't! I hope you can finally think about what qualities TRULY matter in a mate for you - and realize that there are SO many awesome guys who are TOTALLY SINGLE and not carrying around a 747 full of baggage with them! If you date men with kids, you will NEVER be first in their lives! I see you with an East Coast type guy, or a European who is your MATCH and who is not just going to treat you as an arm ornament, but a true partner! Keep up the GREAT work with your animals - we need more people like you to speak for our 4-legged friends! You and Courtney should take a trip to Europe and come back ENGAGED! Yee-hah, Darlin! Thank you for bringing style and CLASS to reality TV!

Please keep up your charity work for the animals. I know they appreciate it. You are the sweetest person to give your time, patience and energy for these wonderful animals. God Bless you!

I don't think the writers did a good job with you in the finale. Your involvement in 3 stories you did (Chef Point dinner in Fort Worth, Drew follow up at Grapevine, and marriage revelation) did not make a lot of sense in the set up, even in a geographic sense. The producers focused on the QB and Miss Chardonnay, gave Drew a little, and blew by everybody else. Why did they tack on the marriage status at the end? It's not like you have to explain your current status. It was you on the phone call, credits rolling, and boom back to the studio for that Bravo producer. If they wanted to show something, show how that area of Possum Kingdom now looks after the wildfires.

Meet them for coffee in the morning, or lunch and ALWAYS invite Courtney along! I could not believe you chose that awful man! Fat, not good looking, could not carry on a conversation, as someone else just said ewwwwww!!! Use your eyes and head next time!!

Tara, Tara, Tara,

I had to join just to give you a cyber-smack. :/ Jody? Ewww. Skip that he took you to a gas station, or that he had a soul patch (ok maybe not completely skip) but just EWWWWWW! He isnt in your league is an understatement. He isnt on your planet. I have to wonder why you are choosing these men?? I think you need to get a life coach, or a mentor, or a flippin SHAMAN! LOL....but seriously you are a lovely Texas woman, with so much to offer far beyond all that hair, and that bangin body....as a lover of rescue's myself (I have 5-jeez la weez) what you do is amazing and commendable. Keep up the good fight for the pups....but guard your heart as your most prized possession and date people you DONT NEED A BACKGROUND CHECK FOR! :)

There are a lot of good looking available men down here in San Antonio too, BTW!

xoxo

I felt bad for you when you heard that Jody was still married, didn't you talk about being married? he knew you were engaged 4 times. are you afraid to be alone? you seem to jump from relationship to relationship, it's ok to be alone and have some fun exploring and when the right one comes along you'll know it, feel it. don't jump into another relationship so fast and fall in love in a week. good luck!!

Be humble, Tara. Chef's Point Cafe is a 5 Star restaurant that has been featured on the Food Network and Travel Channel, oh and now Bravo. Chefs from across the globe have chosen to dine there. However, to your defense, you were over dressed for Watauga.

On the single front, I suggest giving Russ a chance. Dont you want to Shotgun in the General Lee?
