14 Snacks and Sips for an Ultra Gourmet Super Bowl Party

If you're not feeling the messy chicken bone and Buffalo sauce idea ...

By Jenny Berg

Sure, the commercials are great and the halftime show's even better. And oh yeah, and there's also a game going on! But, everyone knows that the best part of any Super Bowl party is its snacks. So, before the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots face off at Minnesota's Bank Stadium on Sunday, February 4, it's time to tackle the menu for your upcoming bash. (No pun intended.)

While traditional football fare tends to include chicken wings, beer, and brimming bowls of pretzels, we have a hunch your taste is a little more gourmet. So — just in case Buffalo sauce isn't your cup of tea — we've rounded up everything from small-batch Bloody Mary mix to healthy cookies for little football fans. Also, if you're going for a full bar, watch the video above for everything you need to stock your home bar cart.

We think it's safe to say that our list of snacks and sips has something to please every Eagles or Patriots fan. Scroll down and score the perfect party nibbles, below — without having to brave the grocery-store lines.

Whispering Angel Rosé

Ask yourself: What would Lisa Rinna pour to celebrate a touchdown? We happen to know that the 'Wife loves this pretty pink drink ... and we think Super Bowl Sunday is the perfect time to test it out. (Or, OK, any day. But we'll take any excuse to sip rosé.)

Skinnygirl Bare Naked Vodka

You'll also need cocktails, of course. This Bethenny Frankel-created product makes the perfect (lower-cal) base for everything from Bloody Marys to Shannon Beador's favorite tipple: a vodka-soda cocktail.

Dill-Ish Bloody Mary Mix

About that Bloody Mary, this mixer is big on flavor. It's spiced up with dill, garlic, habanero peppers in more — just add celery and a hefty pour of that Skinnygirl vodka. The non-drinkers in the house can always opt to drink it as is, too!

Getaway in a Glass

You wouldn't leave your guests with just one mixer (let's face it: the Super Bowl is long, and your pals will need something to tide them over till halftime). This set raises the bar on orange juice and sparkling water with exotic ingredients like charred grapefruit tonic and pineapple-lime tiki drink mixer. Plus, it comes with a cocktail jigger so the Jax Taylor wannabes in your crew can totally play bartender.

Hot Chocolate Meltdown

Kiddos can't mix cocktails, but they can make their own drinks with these fun chocolates on a stick. Warm up a mug of milk, then let the little ones dunk and swirl these sticks in the milk till voilà! They have the perfect mug of hot chocolate. Bonus points if you have marshmallows on hand as well.

Rosemary and Lemon Crackers

Spoiler alert: there will be plenty of spreads and dips at your football bash. (Just keep scrolling!) But first, you'll need a solid base for all that gooey goodness. We love the Mediterranean-influenced flavors in these crispy crackers.

Fig Jam

Smear this onto a cracker with a little sharp cheddar, and trust us: you won't even care if your team loses.

Marin French Petite Cheeses

Keep some more crackers or a crusty baguette on standby: these cheeses are made for spreading. Pro tip: the Petite Truffle goes particularly well with fig jam.

Small-Batch Charcuterie Sampler

Round out your savory selection — and give a nod to the carnivores in your crew — with some top-shelf meats.

Mini Savory Tarts

These are so much more glamorous than deep-dish pizzas, but they're (secretly) low-maintenance. They only take ten minutes to heat up in the oven, or you can serve them at room temperature.

Spiced Popcorn

Every viewing party needs a bowl (or five) of popcorn, and these crunchy snacks have an element of surprise. The snacks come in flavors like pesto, pizza, and curry — there's also chocolate and caramel in the mix.

The Mah-Ze Dahr Dessert Box

Don't forget dessert! Filled with freshly baked brownies, cookies, marshmallows, and more, these boxes contain enough sugar to amp up an entire football team. But, here's the best part: Tom Colicchio is such a fan of the baker, Umber Ahmad, that he was an early investor in her biz!

MySuperCookies Organic Whole Grain Cookies

If you're weary of serving the littlest guests quite that much sugar, dole out pouches of these cute, kid-friendly cookies.

Sugarfina Champagne Bears Candy Cubes

What's a party without a take-home treat? Sure, you can hand out football-shaped chocolates as a perfectly adorable sendoff. But, we think champers queen and hostess with the mostest Heather Dubrow would approve these little sweets, in particular. What can we say? We're inspired by her style.
