Makes Me Wonder

Rachel explains how it felt to miss a Fashion Week and why Jeremiah's decorating skills makes her ponder his true talents.

I guess Rodger wasn't kidding when he said he needed to blow off some steam by going to Vegas for Superbowl Sunday.

Even though I always want him home with me since I was eight months pregnant, I knew I had to let Rodger go to Vegas with the boys for at least 24 hours. Thank goodness I had Joey here to watch a Twilight marathon with and go vintage shopping! Joey and I had the best time, and I found so many one-of-a-kind, amazing pieces to add to my vintage collection.

Moving is always stressful, and Rodger and I have moved a lot! But this move was on another level of stressful. We were on a time crunch with the baby coming, and we moved from a one-bedroom condo to a very large and very grown up house. There was so much to do, and I was so lucky that I had my team who not only handled the huge job, but wouldn't even let me stress for a minute over it. I couldn't believe how cooped up I felt between not being allowed to check on the move and missing New York Fashion Week on top of it. It's been at least 10 years since I've missed a Fashion Week, but being a mom-to-be is the best reason to stay home with Rodger and relax.

Rodger and I couldn't believe our eyes when we finally arrived at our new home. Jeremiah totally killed it with the house! He completely understood my aesthetic and mixed it in with the classic style of the house. I never in a million years would have expected that this could be done in that short amount of time. I can really see Jeremiah's talent and passion for design, and he clearly worked his ass off. It does make me think that this is what he should be doing, and maybe styling isn't his calling like interior design clearly is. Getting our house done in 10 days was a huge success, and we couldn't have been more thankful, but it does make me wonder why Jeremiah is pursuing styling.
