Tribble's a Little Jealous of Vawn

Tribble sensed chemistry between Vawn and Africa, but he's not done pursuing her -- and he explains his "sleep talking."

By Tribble Reese

First of all let me say thank you for stopping by to read my blog. I know there are 23,583 other things you can be doing on the internet right now, like watching a girl catch herself on fire "twerking" (HERE), or old people reacting to Justin Bieber (HERE), so the fact that you stopped by to catch up with my thoughts about the first episode of The New Atlanta means a lot.

Let me just say, full disclosure, at the beginning of the show I said, "I can get any girl that I want." (I may or may not have been sleep talking). I am very confident in the man that I am, but I am not cocky enough to think that I can get ANYONE. This also may be a different story when I have had some drinks in me, because when I am approaching a girl, I have no shame and will even make fun of myself in order to get her attention. But as for this working out for me every time? Not even close.

With that being said, I'll start off with my relationship with Emily. As gorgeous as Emily is, her and I have always just been friends. When I first moved to Atlanta about three years ago, Emily and Justin had just started dating, and I worked at the same bar as Justin. I would always see Emily around coming to see Justin, and so we all just clicked. She is a total sweetheart, and it is nice to have her when I need to hear things out from a female perspective. When you first see Emily and me at 5 Paces, that's the bar we really do hang out all the time, and we both love it! But at the same time, I feel like we both want to explore and see what else is out there in Atlanta.

When Africa and Vawn get together, you can start to see immediate chemistry. Seeing this for the first time kinnnnnddddaaa made me a little jealous, I'm not going to lie.

Looking Straight Through Vawn's Soul

I've never dated a member of the opposite race, but Africa is drop dead gorgeous. When Emily said there was some interest, it definitely made my ears perk up. Africa is so talented and is going to be a huge success, but at Africa's party, I felt like I wasn't able to really get a chance to sit down with her and talk because of all the damn drama that was happening around us. Some of these women just don't know when to shut up! I know it's not fun to be talked about, but just LET IT GO! I mean dayummmmm y'all!

Side note: When Vawn asked me about the "number question" at the end, I don't really want to know as long as you treat me like your first. Insert: "Awwwwwwwwwww." Jk. Jk.

But Alex, bless her heart, is not afraid to speak her mind. However, I think she might have met her match with Emily. I have known Emily for a long time now, and she is not afraid to fight back and let the claws come out. I think this show is five strong-minded people who aren't afraid to stand up for what they believe in. Needless to say, this is going to be a fun show to watch so stay tuned!
