What Keeps Sonja Morgan Sane?

Fresh off the heels of a wild season, Real Housewives of New York City star Sonja Morgan has revealed what keeps her sane amidst all the chaos.

In a new interview with Hamptons Magazine Sonja discuss family, friendships and philanthropy.

On her work with various charitable organizations, Sonja says, "That's what keeps me sane.” Sonja explained that seeing the world as a young model gave her perspective at an early age. “If you start thinking the grass is greener, you can lose your center… going upstate to the yoga centers in the Berkshires, reminds me that [the grass] is not greener... because that doesn't make you happier. Having the charity work makes me feel good.”

Another thing that makes Sonja feel good is having her family and friends close. Her home is often filled with people—and not just interns!

“I have an open dinner policy,” Sonja told the mag. “Whoever is in my life and supports me, whether it's my sister or the violin teacher or the interns, we all have dinner at 6 p.m. It could be my makeup artist or PR friends. They just drop in and we talk about what's going on.”

Sonja, who recently tweeted words of support for castmate Ramona Singer after she announced her separation, talked about their friendship. “I’ve known Ramona for over 30 years,” said Sonja. “I knew her before she married Mario.” It seems being a Real Housewife is just one of the many experiences these two have shared. “We both bought our first apartments at the same time, we both bought our first major investments together, started our businesses.”
