For Some Stressed-Out New Yorkers, Sleep is Worth a Dollar a Minute

People are forking over cash for some solid shut-eye.

By Chantel Morel

While eight hours of sleep a night may be the goal, we all know this rarely happens. Somehow, there’s always something getting in the way of our beauty rest, whether you get trapped scrolling through Instagram, getting the kids ready for tomorrow, or can't put down that book you're reading. Plus, how else are we going to catch up on the latest Real Housewives drama?

Of course, a restless night quickly catches up with you the next day. But, what if we told you that you could easily reboot midday by purchasing a power nap? Well, that’s exactly what Odd Mom Out’s KK Glick puts to the test this week on Treat Yourself.

Melatonin and Sleepytime tea are not enough for the elite of the Upper East Side, so instead many of them are flocking to Yelo spa for a treatment called the Power Nap. Suffering with her own sleep struggles, KK decides to give this luxe treatment a try in hopes that it works better than all of the other sleeping tricks she’s tried. “From noise machines to neck pillows and cherry juice, I’ve tried every sleep hack—and none of them have worked,” she said.

The Power Nap, which cost $1 per minute, uses a zero gravity chair and aromatherapy to promote an energizing 20 minute nap. Watch the full video above to see if this treatment is really worth your buck.

For more of KK tune into Odd Mom Out every Wednesday at 10/9c.
